Hi! I’m excited to be playing along over at Virginia View Challenge #12 is “Shaker Cards”.
And here it is:
Virginia shared some of Jennifer McGuire’s tutorials and I used Jennifer’s “Peace on Earth”card below as inspiration.
My card is a faux shaker like Virginia’s one below.
I used VersaMark to stamp the sentiment and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder. The hearts are from the BIG pile left over from this card. 🙂 I used some Glossy Accents and added some silver glitter. With the nontraditional shape, the shiny layer, the window and the heart this card also reminds me a little bit of Vicki’s fun card over at Muse #103.
I like the stitching on Jennifer’s card. I don’t have sewing machine to use for my cards, but keep thinking about getting one. Maybe I should add something to the blue layer to finish it off. Washi? Not sure.

Hi Melissa, I like the colorful design of your card.
Sorry for this question: what’s shaking around? I couldn’t find it out.

Thanks, Wiebke. It’s a faux shaker, like Virginia’s. Hers is here: http://virginialusblog.blogspot.ca/2015/01/cas-ual-fridays-stamps-blog-feature.html I should have made that clearer!
