After making some shaker cards for the first time for Virginia’s View Shaker Challenge, I keep coming up with shaker card ideas. 🙂 They are so much fun!!

There’s lots going on in this little shaker, homemade embossing paste pink hearts (the recipe is in this post), sequins & beads and a little glossy accents glazed donut with sprinkles. I used a SU triple flower punch for the pink frosting, along a small circle punch.

Despite my bottle of Glossy Accents exPLODing all over me and my table, I had a lot of fun making this card. I’m playing this card at Curtain Call’s Donut Delight Challenge and SSS’s Wednesay Challenge: Simon Says Add A Little Texture.

Cups of Shaker Tea

Hi! Today I have a fun card to share with you.

IMG_0818edited

I had a lot of fun doing this card! The tea cup stamp from Stampin’ Up lends itself to all kinds of creative possibilities!

I’m playing this over at Virginia’s View Challenge #12.

IMG_0804edited

Before this challenge over at Virginia’s View I hadn’t made shaker cards, but now I’ve been bitten by the shaker bug!

I would like to dedicate this post to Papertrey Ink, even though I didn’t use 1 PTI product on this card! You see, I found out today, via an email from Darnell, that I won PTI’s Year of Stamps contest!!!!! What an AMAZING blessing!

Thank you, Darnell for the sweet congratulations! I really appreciate your kindness. 🙂

Build a Bouquet

Here, I have a fun shaker card to share with you.

I used PTI’s Botanical Blocks II lilac stamp as the focal point in the bouquet. I inked up only part of the image and then drew in some finishing touches around the edge. I used some Stamping’ Up stamps to add to the bouquet.

I used some double sided foam tape, cellophane wrap and a variety of sequins and small punched flowers to make this into a shaker. I’m having fun making shaker cards!

I’m playing this card at PTI’s 8th Anniversary, Day 4: Build a Bouquet Challenge and Viginia’s View Challenge#12: Shaker Cards.

#12 Shaker Cards

Vellum Shaker – DLC!

Hi! I’m excited to be playing along over at Virginia View Challenge #12 is “Shaker Cards”.

And here it is:

Virginia shared some of  Jennifer McGuire’s tutorials and I used Jennifer’s “Peace on Earth”card below  as inspiration.

My card is a faux shaker like Virginia’s one below.

I used VersaMark to stamp the sentiment and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder. The hearts are from the BIG pile left over from this card. 🙂 I used some Glossy Accents and added some silver glitter. With the nontraditional shape, the shiny layer, the window and the heart this card also reminds me a little bit of Vicki’s fun card over at Muse #103.

I like the stitching on Jennifer’s card. I don’t have sewing machine to use for my cards, but keep thinking about getting one. Maybe I should add something to the blue layer to finish it off. Washi? Not sure.
