CASology Week 174: OWL

Hi! I’m very excited to share some cards with you today that were inspired by CASology’s Week #174 cue word:

I had a lot of fun making 4 cards that were inspired by this week’s cue word. All stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink.

Here’s the 1rst card:Slide09

I used this owl photo as inspiration.

As is a trend with me, I had several ideas for different versions of this card. As I stamped, I kept getting an idea for another card! I have to say that can be distracting. Maybe I should keep a sketch book handy so I can scribble down ideas and not distract myself! 😉

Here is my 2nd idea:

The 3rd idea: (I’d like to play this one at CASology this week.)Slide21

The 4rth version: I’d like to play this one at SSS Wednesday’s Simon Says Anything Goes and Word Art Wednesday’s week #211: Anything Goes.Slide8

When my friend, Cindy,  and I were visiting over Skype on Thanksgiving Day she suggested a slight change to this 4rth card. So, I have plans to change it  a little and make a 5th version! 🙂 Maybe I’ll do that sometime this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

Make It Monday #232: Layered Stamping on Kraft

Hi! I’m here with a card for this week’s Make It Monday with Dawn.

IMG_1195edited

I’d like to play this at SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog’s: Simon Says “Anything Goes” and Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #211: Anything Goes. I CASED one of my own cards from last Christmas as inspiration for my design. I’d also like to play this card at Emerald Creek Dares Challenge: Bringing Bits of Cheer, The Card Concept’s Challenge #44: Festive Glory  ( I think that this card could be categorized as Clean & Graphic or maybe Classy & Elegant?) and at Always Playing with Paper’s Challenge #52 {Create a Christmas Card}.IMG_1203editedI’m really enjoying using this technique of stamping with white on kraft. I adapted the technique and used it to make a card with a hand sketched holly design and water coloring. If you’d like to, you can see it here.

Here’s a slideshow of how I made this card:

All stamps and the die are Papertrey Ink products. While you’re here I thought you might to have a peek at a fun card I made with some other Papertrey Ink products. I’m very pleased with this card! Click on the photo if you’d like to be taken to the post where I share this and 3 other owl cards.  Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! 🙂

PTI November 2015 Blog Hop Challenge

Hi! I have a non-traditionally colored Christmas card to share with you today. It was inspired by PTI’s November Blog Hop inspiration photo.

Another gorgeous photo for this challenge.

  Here’s my card:

I’d also like to play this at SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog’s: Simon Says “Anything Goes” and Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #211: Anything Goes. This card was also inspired by the technique used in this week’s Make It Monday video by Dawn. Instead of using Kraft, I stamped with white on a light gray.  (I made a different card for this week’s MIM. You can click here or click on the next photo to go to the post for that card.)

I used PTI’s Fall Florals, Joyful Christmas and You’ve Been Framed:Hexagon to make 2 versions of this card.

Sketching Holly

Hi! I’m here with a post for CASEplorations Inspiration Project Post #48

and SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog’s: Simon Says Christmas. I’d also like to play along at Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #211: Anything Goes.

Recently, I have been enjoying stamping with white ink on Kraft. I love Kim’s card for CASEplorations Inspiration Project #48.

Here’s my card:

Mine is a very similar design to Kim’s. For my card though, I actually did NOT STAMP, but did a sketch instead. I’d also like to play this card at Emerald Creek Dares: Bringing Bits of Cheer and The Card Concept’s Challenge #44: Festive Glory  ( I think that this card could be categorized as Clean & Graphic.) and Always Playing with Paper’s Challenge #52 {Create a Christmas Card}.

IMG_1071editedHere’s a slide show of some of the process.
