Everyday Sentimentsimg_3630edited_edited-2I repeat stamped the Christmas sentiment in green on watercolor paper.img_3624edited_edited-2I die cut a circle and then heat embossed the “Merry” in silver onto shiny green cardstock.img_3629edited_edited-2I punched a small banner from silver cardstock and punched a small hole in the top.img_3623edited_edited-2I attached the watercolor panel to a white card base.

img_3628edited_edited-2I added silver thread, tucked it between the watercolor paper and the card base at the top and then assembled the ornament by attaching the pieces to the card front with foam tape.

Places I’m Playing:

My card is sort of a combination of the circle in the sketch and the balls & green and white colors from the photo.

P.S. Here’s a fun song by Steven Curtis Chapman (one of my favorite singers) called “Christmas Time Again” for you to enjoy.

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #30 Reminder – December – Gold

Challenge Badge

Hi! I’m here with a reminder post & card for The Mixed Media Card Challenge for December:

Here’s my card:  img_3752_edited-1

img_3749_edited-1

I started by making a homemade stencil with a star die.

img_3755_edited-1

Then I stenciled gold embossing paste onto the smooshed background panel.

img_3763_edited-1

I had used a variety of paints, some Smooch Spritz, some gold embossing paste to create the smooshed background. After the gold stars dried. img_3756_edited-1I fussy-cut some of the stars and attached the panel onto red cardstock. I embossed the panel with a chevron embossing panel.

As you can see, I designed, and then printed, my own digital sentiments on vellum. img_3751_edited-1

I included a PDF of the sentiments for you to use. Please click here or on the image below to be taken to the printable version.

slide1I fussy cut the sentiment and added gold gel pen.

I attached the sentiments and then added the panel to a gray card.

img_3762_edited-1I had a lot of fun making this card! Make sure you stop by The MMCC blog and check out my teammates’ superb creations!

Melissa
