ARTplorations Stencil Hop – December 14, 2016

Hi! I’m excited to be here with you for the 1rst day of the ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop.

Here’s my card:

I used this photo as inspiration.

and Dots All Over. (Do the dots look like falling snow?)

Winter 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop – Sketched Poinsettia Cup with Cookies

CASEing Kim for Time Out

Hi! I’m here with a post of a card that I made by CASEing this terrific one by Kim.

Here’s Kim’s beautifully designed CAS card:

Here’s my definitely not CAS CASE of Kim’s card! I used the ARTplorations Stencil Big Bloom Factory on this card.

First, I reverse stenciled by inking up the stencil with a black ink pad. Then I printed with the inked-up stencil. Then, I sponged on the red, blue, yellow and green inks. Next, I traced over the printed outlines with a black alcohol marker to darken the printed image. I added white highlights by doing some more tracing and drawing with a gel pen.

The sentiment is from STAMPlorations Big Greetings set.

Winter 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop – Stacked Cups 4

Hi! I’m here with another card for the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

To start this card, I printed this free stacked cups image from here at Beyond the Fringes Crafts. 🙂

Here’s my card. I fussy cut the image and then masked off every other cup and stenciled a chevron pattern on some and dots on others. I used a couple of ARTplorations stencils, Chevron Crazy and Dots All Over.

I decided to cut the cups apart and stack them individually with foam tape. I created the background by sponging red ink through a paper doily onto white cardstock.
