I finally had the courage to look at all the wonderful cards people from all over the continent and the world made for Melissa. I’m humbled at the beauty and the creativity, the sentiments and the prayers and encouragement. Needless to say, I spent most of the time with tears in my eyes as I reviewed all of them. I am amazed at the close knit community that has been created through the internet and how people can have true feelings for someone they never met. I’m thankful on this day for thankfulness for everyone who took the time to send us messages of hope, solace, compassion and peace.
Where the cards came from:
California, Missouri, New Mexico, India, Washington St., Michigan, Germany, Austria, Virginia, Oregon, England, Canada, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, Texas and Pennsylvania.
I hope that you enjoy seeing the process I used to create this fun flying floating flowery rainbow and are inspired to do a little crafting of your own. I used the following STAMPlorations products for this tutorial:
I painted the flower with my pink and orange Zigs.
I fussy cut the sunflower. The large bloom, set in the upper left corner of this card, was is inspired by Yulianna’s submission for “Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin”. I stamped the “stem” with the sentiment and heat embossed in gold.I added a shimmery-pink gel pen line along the edge of two sides.
I narrowly matted the white panel with another panel of orange cardstock.
Finally, I added a white card base. Thanks for stopping by!
Grace & Peace,
