This is a sad post for me, as I will be stepping down from Happy Little Stampers after this month. I am so thankful to my teammates and especially Kylie for their friendship and support over the past 2 1/2 years. Ladies, I count myself blessed to be able to call you friends.
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.
I started this card by creating a smooshed blue and yellow Brusho Crystal Color background panel. Next, I used a butterfly die cut as a stencil and sponged on blue ink through the negative spaces. I stamped with the large script background stamp from Thinking of You stamp and the Happy Birthday in blue ink. I traced the large sentiment with white gel pen. I started the panel with the Brushos last summer at the first HLS retreat in Swindon. I finished the card back at my house in Germany. I sprayed the panel with homemade blue alcohol ink and added blue gel pen around the stenciled butterfly.
I started this card by creating a smooshed Brushos background panel. Then I stamped with some real leaves, inked up with green ink. I made the basic panel with the Brushos and the leaves first summer at the first HLS retreat in Swindon. I finished the card back at my house in Germany. At my house, I stamped with the large script stamp in gold metallic ink. I traced the leaves with white gel pen and added the stamped book spine and a piece of self-made Scripture designer paper.
When the paste dried, I sponged on gold pigment ink.
I designed the little calendar as a word document and printed it onto white cardstock. It measures about 4″ x 2 1/4″ or 4 cm x 5.75 cm.
I inked the edges of the calendar by swiping it across red and then gold ink pad and added some pink dots as well and then attached it with foam tape.I had a lot of fun creating this calendar page and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own mixed media projects! I’d be very glad to have you join us for the mixed media challenge this month. I’m so excited to be here with you and I can’t wait to see what you make!
Please remember that this is not a card challenge…it’s anything BUT a card. 🙂
P.S. Here’s the coupon code again. There’s no expiration date, as long as I’m a STAMPlorations Girl, this code will be valid.
