Here’s a card that I made as a reminder for the October Challenge.
You’ll see that I used both the positive & negative die cuts to create 2 cards. One for the original challenge post &  this one for the reminder for this month.
For this card today, I used the ARTplorations stencil Rows of Hearts with Brusho Colour Crystals.
After adhering the rainbow of teapots, I applied Smooch Spritz over the entire card front.  I also used the CUTplorations Hello Word Die.
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Little Stampers Watercolor December – Anything Goes

I’m very happy to be back with you for this month’s HLS Watercolor challenge.

This is a sad post for me, as I will be stepping down from Happy Little Stampers after this month. I am so thankful to my teammates and especially Kylie for their friendship and support over the past 2 1/2 years. Ladies, I count myself blessed to be able to call you friends.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

Here’s my card using Doodled Flowers.

I used Kylie’s fun flowers as snowflakes.

Here’s some music for you to enjoy if you’d like:

I heat embossed the flowers and then added blue Brusho crystal color.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Little Stampers April 2017 Mixed Media Challenge – Sprays

Hi! I’m very happy to be here with you today with a card for Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge.

Our  challenge:

Here’s my card. Thinking Spring!
img_5891_edited-1
 img_5890_edited-1
I started this card by creating a smooshed blue and yellow Brusho Crystal Color background panel.  Next, I used a butterfly die cut as a stencil and sponged on blue ink through the negative spaces. I stamped with the large script background stamp from Thinking of You stamp and the Happy Birthday in blue ink. I traced the large sentiment with white gel pen. img_5887_edited-1I started the panel with the Brushos last summer at the first HLS retreat in Swindon. I finished the card back at my house in Germany. I sprayed the panel with homemade blue alcohol ink and added blue gel pen around the stenciled butterfly.img_5888_edited-1

So!  Are you excited to join in with our Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media challenge?! I hope so. Make sure that you check out my teammates’ super creations at the challenge blog.

Happy Little Stampers March 2017 Mixed Media Challenge – Books

Hi! I’m very happy to be here with you today with a card for Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge.

Our  challenge:

Here’s my card.
I started this card by creating a smooshed Brushos background panel.  Then I stamped with some real leaves, inked up with green ink. I made the basic panel with the Brushos and the leaves first summer at the first HLS retreat in Swindon. I finished the card back at my house in Germany. At my house, I stamped with the large script stamp in gold metallic ink. img_4067_edited-1I traced the leaves with white gel pen and added the stamped book spine and a piece of self-made Scripture designer paper.

Mixed Media Challenge + Stencil Sunday – February 2017 Mini Calendar

Hi!  I’m very happy to be here for STAMPlorations with a mixed media project for Stencil Sunday and the February Mixed Media Challenge.

Remember to add the following challenge graphic to your post in order to be eligible for the prizes each month.

The winner will receive a $15 STAMPlorations gift certificate or 2 ARTplorations stencils. And the top picks receive an ARTplorations stencil of their choice.

I have a fun discount code for you! Shery, of STAMPlorations, has generously given me a code to share with you.

Use COUPON code STAMPGIRLMELISSA and receive 20% OFF at STAMPlorations!

Here’s a mini calendar page that I made using  ARTplorations stencils:

img_3986_edited-1

The calendar measures approximately 6 1/4″ x 10 1/4″ or 16 x 26 cm matted.

  1. First, I created the heart background with the ARTplorations Hearts In Bubbles stencil with red embossing paste and then pink watercolor paint.
  2. I added gold embossing paste through the ARTplorations Chevron Crazy stencil.
  3. I matted the panel with vellum, gold foil cardstock and then pink cardstock.img_3980_edited-1
  4. I added some more hearts with the ARTplorations Hearts All Over stencil and pink embossing paste.
  5. I used the ARTplorations Dots All Over stencil to add white and silver embossing paste.img_3989_edited-1
  6. When the paste dried, I sponged on gold pigment ink.
  7. I designed the little calendar as a word document and printed it onto white cardstock. It measures about 4″ x 2 1/4″ or 4 cm x 5.75 cm.
  8. I inked the edges of the calendar by swiping it across red and then gold ink pad and added some pink dots as well and then attached it with foam tape.img_3987_edited-1I had a lot of fun creating this calendar page and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own mixed media projects! I’d be very glad to have you join us for the mixed media challenge this month. I’m so excited to be here with you and I can’t wait to see what you make!

Please remember that this is not a card challenge…it’s anything BUT a card.  🙂

To be sure that you’re eligible for the prizes each month, please create a mixed media project, add a link to the challenge and also remember to show the Mixed Media challenge graphic. Please check out what the rest of the design team has made here.

Thanks for stopping by!
