AAA Cards Game #113 – Perfect Day

Hi! I’m back with another fun new challenge for AAA Cards.

Special tips for competing (and being eligible to win) in this game:

  1. As always, we’re looking for Clean and Simple (CAS) greeting cards, BUT for this game please make sure to tell us how your card depicts a perfect day to you.
  2. White Space………..As always and for all of our games our definition of Clean and Simple means that white space should be not be patterned, not embossed and not textured in any way at all. (This last part is KEY to us at AAA Cards. Although we love all types of styles of cards, sticking with the AAA Cards definition of “white space” is a requirement in order for your card to be eligible for us to vote for it.)

Our super sponsor:

Sponsor : Precious Remembrance shop
prize: this very cool stamp set below

Dyane from Precious Remembrance Shop is joining in with us. Our guest designer for this challenge is Guest Designer – Sharon – frommycraftdesk.

Here’s my “Perfect Day” card.

Although there is still SNOW here as of April 15th, I am thinking of a warm Maine day, perhaps in late July, with blue skies and daisies blowing in the breeze. The lake is there, ready for a refreshing dip after I’ve picked some vegetables from my garden and a bouquet for the supper table.

For now though, I will have to simply choose to BELIEVE it is truly coming because we’re just now beginning to see signs of Spring and today it is not supposed to get much above 35° F.

I’m playing along at MUSE where I’m inspired by Tracey’s CAS floral card with the colors blue, yellow and green and lots of white space and a prominent, die-cut, sentiment.

Be sure to stop by the AAA Cards challenge blog to enjoy Sharon’s and my teammate’s lovely Clean and Simple Cards.

I hope that you enjoyed visiting today and I hope that you’ve been inspired to play along and share your Clean and Simple, ‘perfect day’ card with us.

Thanks for stopping by!
Grace & Peace,
Melissa

STAMPlorations Things with Wings Spring Blog Hop & Linky Party – Change

Hi! I’m happy to be here with you for STAMPlorations Things with Wings Spring Blog Hop & Linky Party.

The event will have one main day (April 5), with extra posts on the following 3 Wednesdays. We will be showcasing spring-themed projects (cards, ATCs, tags, postcards, etc.) that have wings (birds, butterflies, dragonflies, etc.).

No automatic alt text available.

Here’s my card for today.

I am in the midst of an international move and so this sentiment is a good reminder for me.I like the bold colors of this card.

I used STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2.

How I made this card:

  1. Created 6 masks, stamped with the back sides of the butterfly stamps, onto removable sticky label.
  2. Fussy cut the butterfly masks.
  3. Adhered the masks to the front of the white card.
  4. Sponged black ink onto the entire card front.

I recycled the butterfly masks themselves and used them to make 3 projects in total.

Here’s one of the projects. I adhered the actual masks to the front of this card.

I also used the masks on a project for a mixed media tutorial which you will be able to see on the STAMPlorations Blog on June 19th.

🙂

5. I removed the masks and stamped the lighter hued colors with the back of the stamps. 6. Then I inked up the fronts of the stamps and stamped with the darker colors.

7. I added the sentiment.

8. I attached the panel to a bright pink card base.

Shery, of STAMPlorations, has generously given me a code to share with you.

I fun creating this bright and bold butterfly card and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own projects and play along at the linky party! I’d be very glad to have you join us.

STAMPlorations Things with Wings Spring Blog Hop & Linky Party – Moments

The event will have one main day (April 5), with extra posts on the following 3 Wednesdays. We will be showcasing spring-themed projects (cards, ATCs, tags, postcards, etc.) that have wings (birds, butterflies, dragonflies, etc.).

No automatic alt text available.

Here’s my card for today:

I am in the midst of an international move. So, this sentiment is a good reminder for me!

I like the bold colors of this card, which I paired with the delicate roses.

The black butterflies are recycled masks which I used on the April 19th card for this hop and on 1 other project (my June 19th tutorial).  You’ll have to wait for that second one for a little while. 🙂

I used alcohol markers to color the images and card front.

I used STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2
