I’d like to say a BIG ‘Thank You’ to our all of our great sponsors!

I used some products fr0m Happy Little Stampers, a Butterfly Die, to cut out multiple white butterflies. I also used a Happy Little Stampers sentiment stamp.

Butterfly Dies IMG_6016edited I also covered some white card stock with washi tape and then die cut the butterfly.

Here’s my question:

I love butterflies in general and butterflies on cards too! I don’t think I’ve seen a butterfly stamp set or die that I don’t love.  Do you have a favorite butterfly stamp set or butterfly die? What is its name? Please leave your answer in the comments for your chance at a $10 So Suzy Stamp gift certificate. I’ll choose my favorite answer!

The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers’  Fun Birthday Sentiments.

  1. I love how you created the background! Super stunning! For me I absolutely love my Watercolor Wings stamp set and Butterflies Thinlits dies. I’m a new blogger, and most of my first couple of posts are all about cards using these stamps and dies!

  2. Love the way you created the background using the dies instead of a colour, so clever!! My favourite butterfly set would have to be by Happy Little Stampers, the butterflies are gorgeous and sentiments so handy!

  3. Such a cool card. I remember another like this where you used that washi! Fabulous. I think my most used butterfly dies are from Clearly Besotted. I’ve got a much used Martha Stewart punch too for tiny ones.

  6. Oh Melissa, I adore your sweet card!! I have lots of “favorite” butterfly sets too so it’s hard to choose a favorite. I guess my favorite would be whatever I am feeling at the time. Sometimes I need a CAS butterfly and other times I might be looking for a more “shabby” style with printed words or images across the butterfly. Either way, I love butterflies, I love your card and I love making cards!! Thanks for the chance to win!

  9. Great card! Your colorful butterfly really pops from the embossed bg, great job! My favorite butterfly stamp set is a pretty new (new to me) one. I’ve only had it for some weeks but I’ve already made several cards with it and have a lot of more ideas for it in my head! It’s by Hero Arts and there’s a matching die in the set that lifts the wings of the butterfly up and it’s so great for dimension and interest! You can alter what you have showing under the wings… You can color the stamp in or just heat emboss it… So many ways to use it! Here’s a couple of examples I’ve made if you are interested: http://nonnishandmadecards.blogspot.fi/2016/05/another-butterfly-card.html and http://nonnishandmadecards.blogspot.fi/2016/05/happy-birthday-sandie.html. Hope you like and sorry for the long answer! 🙂

  10. Love your card. Such a great way to make the one butterfly pop. One of the reason I bought the latest Stamp of Approval Beautiful World collection by Catherine Pooler was a wonderful stamp set by Gina K, which contains 2 wonderful butterflies: a large one and the small one you can see on a card that I posted earlier this week. I also love the Painted Butterflies set by Altenew.

  11. LOVE your card, the white on white with splash of colour and all the stunning butterflies. A girl after my own heart. I simply LOVE butterflies too 🙂 I could be totally biased and say that my all time favourite butterfly stamp set is Uniko English Country Garden Butterflies, BUT I also have an old fave which is the Hero Arts Heart Winged Butterfly 😉 Thanks for the inspiration. 12. That white background looks as if it is embossed – what a great idea to create it from die cuts. My favourite butterfly die is the very old Cuttlebug one – just checked it for the name but it appears to be called either “made in China” or “patent pending” – it’s the one that came with three different embossing folders to match, although I use it in many other ways and not just with the folders.

  13. Melissa, your card is gorgeous…all that pretty butterfly white space and that ‘zing’ of fresh, vibrant colour blows me away! WOW! I have a variety of butterfly stamps, dies and stencils. For *this* minute, my favourite is HLS, followed closely be Altenew’s Painted Butterflies. We can never have too many butterfly images…

  14. Oh I love you card. So colourful and clean at the same time.
I don’t have a butterfly stamp set or die, but I do love this butterfly and dragonfly stencil that bought from Itsy Bitsy (Indian craft store)

  15. Love your butterfly card…great use of HLS die. That would probably become a favorite if I owned it. I have many Butterfly stamps and dies but use a Cheery Lynn Die the most.
Happy Birthday to all of you at AAA Cards!

  16. Love the simplicity of the card and the POP of color on the butterfly. My fav butterfly stamp set would have to be the Tim Holtz Alterations Frameless with stamps. The butterfly is so large and majestic, it makes any card ‘a work of art’ LOL

  17. Absolutely gorgeous card Melissa, I love how you created the background with the plain butterflies, makes the focal one simply pop!
I LOVE butterflies on cards and it would be so hard to choose a favourite, but a really special one is Visible Image’s butterfly inkognito! Magic!

  18. This is such a pretty card! Love the outdoor photography too! As much as I like butterfly stamps, I’ve actually never tried crafting with them before for fear that I will never do them justice on my cards! One day, maybe!

  19. Love the embossed background. I don’t have any butterfly stamps but I think your card might inspire me to buy some because they can make bright cards and are so verstile for different occasions

  20. Ohhh..gorgeous!! Love the colorful butterfly amidst all those nice white ones – makes such an impact!!
I do own a few butterfly stamp and dies – but still wanting more, I have my eyes on MFT Flutter of Butterflies and PTI Life is Beautiful – I think these two together could satisfy any stamping/die-cutting needs! 🙂

  22. I will have to CASE your card — it is very pretty. I have lots of butterflies and I always think I need more! Right now my favorite is Watercolor Wings from Stampin Up. I used it to make a very pretty birthday card for my daughter earlier this month.

  23. Gorgeous card with beautiful colors and textures! Love the washi tape butterfly!
My favorite butterfly stamp is the So Suzy Stamps Fancy Butterfly design! Gorgeous details, and looks so beautiful embossed!

  24. Oh wow! this is pretty! I love the rainbow on stark white cs! what a fresh and pretty idea ; )

My favorite butterfly to use is a two part process from Cuttlebug. You die cut the butterfly and then emboss it in the matching folder. There are actually three or four folders so with one die cut you can get the different embossed outcomes. I think I love this one best because I normally do it on white or cream and that makes it so super elegant! : )

Thanks a bunch for the chance to win.

  25. I have several butterfly images and a couple of dies. The butterfly stamps I tend to pull out the most comes from Skipping Stones Design’s Always Here set. I love the elegant patterns on the butterflies. I also like SSD’s Heartsong set. The butterflies have musical notes on them. Both sets make such beautiful butterflies with an elegant look.

  26. Hi Melissa. I so love your card. Love the butterfly embossing and the bright diet and crisp black sentiment. Absolutely striking. My favorite butterfly set if PTI’s Beautiful Butterflies, though I have been eyeing the HLS set for a long time. I chose it for my recent win! Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

  27. Wow your card is simple yet so beautiful! I actually thought your card was embossed, and i love the idea of your washi tape die cut! My favourite butterfly stamp is the Memory Box Butterfly heart. All those little butterflies that you can colour seperately or cut out and then use the negative butterflies as a stencil…its so versatile!

I only have one butterfly stamps set but I do love butterfly die cuts popped up on my cards. Gives a beautiful finishing touch to a floral card.

  30. Your card is fantastic Melissa, I love the texture from the white die-cut butterflies with the vibrant pop of colour on one of them. Fabulous and eye-catching. I also love butterflies and they’re a close runner up to my floral favorites. To be honest I love the Elegant butterfly set from Clearly Besotted the best but mainly as I’ve used that the most. The HLS set you’ve used is my close running 2nd favourite. xx
