Coffee Loving Cardmakers: January Guest Designer – January 20, 2017

https://i2.wp.com/coffeelovingcardmakers.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/GuestDesignerSlider.jpgHi! I’m very happy to be with you today with a third post as the January Guest Designer for Coffee Loving Cardmakers! I have an unusual sort of card to share with you today.

I combined 4 of my favorite products, from different companies, and also altered the stamped image of one of my favorite stamps.

Here’s my card, using, at least in part, one of my favorite rubber stamps.

This stamp set is one of my first, and favorite, rubber stamp sets. It is Stampin’ Up’s (discontinued) Tea Shoppe.

You can see that I used only the outline of the large cup.

I also used these lovely snowflake dies.

I used the CUTplorations “hugs” word die for the sentiment.

Winter 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop – Sketched Green Cup of Hot Chocolate

Hi! I’m here with a card for the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

First, I drew the cup.
slide08Then I fussy cut it out.

I created the background by sponging green ink through a paper doily.

slide10I added some cream (acrylic paint) to the top of my hot chocolate. (I’m not a coffee drinker. 😉 )

I added some silver ink to the rim and handle of the cup.

slide09 I traced the cup image onto some copy/printer paper, created a mask and then sponged on the silvery-gray shadow to the left of the cup onto the white background. slide11 slide12  Thanks for stopping by!

Grace, Peace & Merry Christmas,

Melissa

I was inspired by the green and white and the cozy feeling evoked by both Fusion and The Card Concept’s inspiration photos.
