I’m happy to be sharing a card with you today as a member of the HLS Sketch Design Team as a reminder to play along at HLS’ September Sketch Challenge.
Here is September’s Sketch:
I really like this sketch. I think I could make about 100 different interpretations of this one sketch!
But, here’s just one, fairly literal one, that I have to share with you:
I masked off and sponged (ink blending/sponging is one of my favorite techniques) 4 rectangles, yellow, red, green and blue on Neenah Solar White card-stock. Then I stamped the black lines around the rectangles with a stamp from PTI’s Super Stripes BG Builder stamp set. I cut the rectangles out and popped them up with 3M foam tape. I’m going to play this card at SSS Monday’s Challenge: Love This Technique and Virginia’s View September Challenge: Geometric Patterns.
Please make sure that you stop by the other HLS Sketch Design Team members blogs to see their creations this month.
My Sketch Design Teammates and I will be sharing our work for the Sketch Challenges and there is also more going on at HLS. The CAS Challenge designers will be sharing their work AND the Christmas Challenge is up and running too. You can find all of the current challenges here. So please stop on over at the HLS blog for some inspiration from the rest of the design team and to link up your entry.
