jugscolor

Here’s my card:

IMG_0524editedI used my Hero Arts Tiny Flags Stamp to stamp in VersaMark, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then sponged on red, orange and yellow ink. Sponging and the emboss-resist technique are 2 of my very favorite stamping techniques. The sentiment is from PTI’s Scripted stamp set.

IMG_0458editedAfter coloring the SU Vintage leaf with my ZIG Real Brush markers I heat embossed the leaf with clear ZING! embossing powder and used the matching die to cut it out. I’m going to play this at Uniko’s Challenge #25: AUTUMN / FALL with an optional twist of THANKS SSS Wednesday’s Simon Says: Die Crazy, SSS Monday’s Challenge: Love This Technique and Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #201: Anything Goes.

Hi! I’m here with a post for PTI’s Stamp-a-faire. This is my first year participating in SAF and I’ve been having a lot of fun.

Here’s my card for the Threads Challenge:

I cased Laura’s card as inspiration for mine.

SF Card #1 close up

I used the same ink-blending technique as Laura used on hers. The ink on the 2 panels is lighter in the center.IMG_0822editedI used PTI’s Heart Cover Plate Die, the Sunshine Impression Plate and a sentiment from the Scripted Stamp Set to make this card.

Die Cut Kissing Recycle -Lots of Tickets

Hi! My kids and I are headed out to the train station to get on a 4 o’clock train to meet my husband; we need to get our tickets to Vaihingen. He’s picking us up and then we’re going to see the movie “War Room”. We’ll need to pick up our tickets for the 6 o’clock showing of the movie too! I’m really looking forward to it. Lots of tickets in this post.

This post is a bit different because I’m not really sharing a card in it. Today, I have a ticket bookmark and a ticket tag to share with you.

This week Betsy, over at PTI’s MIM, used a stamp kissing technique but changed it up a bit by using a stamp and a die cut instead of two stamps. I had This technique was fun and I think I’ll be trying it again very soon. Here’s the post with the card I made for MIM.

IMG_0619edited

I did a test run with the 2 PTI products I wanted to use, the Bloomers stamp set, and the Heart cover Plate die.

The process……

IMG_0599editedIMG_0597edited

Here’s the inked up die cut which I recycled for the bookmark and tag.

IMG_0601edited

I stamped the front side with “Many Blessings” from PTI’S Scripted Stamp Set. I also decorated the back of the tag and made a space to write on. I made my own tickets but using a circle punch to chomp off the corners of the tickets and then I drew the lines on free-hand.

I added some Glossy Accents to the heart negatives on the bookmark. The sentiment is from PTI’s Bibliophile stamp set.

I’d like to play the tag over at WAW’s Challenge #198 – Anything Goes and Wednesday’s Simon Says Anything Goes

and the bookmark at SSS Mondays’: Ticket, Please.

Here’s the trailer for War Room:

Updated Sat 29 August: Here’s what I shared on FB about the movie: “Just got back. Incredibly good. Go. Take your friends, family, neighbors or strangers off the street. Go twice. Take more people. Every single person over 7 years old should go see this movie.”

Make It Monday #222: Die Cut Kissing

Here I am with another MIM post. 🙂 This week Betsy used an old stamp kissing technique but changed it up a bit by using a stamp and a die cut instead of two stamps. Honestly, stamp kissing is a very new technique to me. But then, I’m a newbie at stamping.  I started this wonderful adventure with my friend, Cindy, just a short 2 1/2 years ago! This technique was fun and I think I’ll be trying it again very soon!

IMG_0610editedFirst, I did a test run with the 2 PTI products I wanted to use, the Bloomers stamp set, and the Heart cover Plate die.  The birthday sentiment is from the Bloomers stamp set too.

IMG_0599editedIMG_0601edited

The process……

IMG_0597edited

I trimmed the stamped panel down and had some pretty strips left.

IMG_0598edited

I couldn’t bare to toss them out, so I used them to decorate the inside……..

IMG_0619edited

which is very unusual for me. I’m very happy with how it turned out.

IMG_0605edited I stamped the inside with “Many Blessings” from PTI’S Scripted Stamp Set. Besides playing this over at PTI’s MIM #221, I’d also like to play this over at WAW’s Challenge #198 – Anything Goes

SSS Wednesday’s Simon Says Anything Goes.

Today I have a quick post with a CAS 1-layer card to share with you.

IMG_9947editedI used Less is More’s Week #236 One-layer: The Eyes Have it and Colour Me’s CMCC#84 – Colour Me…. Striking! colors as inspiration for this card.

IMG_9945edited

Today, I enjoyed making this card and two others that are similar to it. For this card, I used a small embossing Sizzix folder, Fun Frames, to set the image apart. Then I embossed the top half with Sizzix Decorative Dots Embossing folder. IMG_9948edited
