Mermaid for CTS #140

Hi! I’m here with a card inspired by CAS(E) This Sketch #140.

Here’s my card.

I used a NBUS mermaid stamp set that my parents sent to me. Isn’t she cute?!

I also used another NBUS stamp, from PTI’s Ahoy stamp set.

I masked off the mermaid and sponged ink on for the sky. I also used my NBUS Kuretake watercolor paints to color the mermaid. I also used some Glossy Accents and a white gel pen to do make the “splash” and a gold one to add some sparkle to the mermaid’s hair. I added silver to her tail and the water with a gel pen and more Glossy Accents to her shells too. šŸ™‚

Today I have a quick post with a CAS card to share with you.

IMG_9928editedĀ  I used CASology’s cue word: Aquatic, LIM’s One-layer, The Eyes Have it and ColourQ’s colors as inspiration for this card. Lots of nice white white space on this one! šŸ™‚IMG_9932edited

Today, I enjoyed making this card and two others that are similar to it. I used a smallĀ  Sizzix embossing folder, Fun Frames, to set the image apart.

I’m off to post the other 2 cards now.IMG_9929edited
