Hi! I am happy to be here with you for a super fun monthly challenge at STAMPlorations, TAGplorations.

The theme for this month is:

“All About Winter”

with an optional twist of Texture Paste

I have a card to share with you today.

I used CUTplorations Curly Label/Tags Nesting Dies and Tag O’Coffee.

I also used blue ink and texture paste with the ARTplorations stencil Leaves 1 – Sanna Lippert Designs.

I’m happy to be part of this fun Tag challenge at STAMPlorations and hope that you will join in and play along.

Happy Little Stampers March 2017 Mixed Media Challenge – Books

Hi! I’m very happy to be here with you today with a card for Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge.

Our challenge:

Here’s my card.

I used a stamp from Happy Little Stampers’ Thinking of You.

I started this card by creating a smooshed Brushos background panel. Then I stamped with some real leaves, inked up with green ink. I made the basic panel with the Brushos and the leaves first summer at the first HLS retreat in Swindon. I finished the card back at my house in Germany. At my house, I stamped with the large script stamp in gold metallic ink. img_4067_edited-1

I traced the leaves with white gel pen and added the stamped book spine and a piece of self-made Scripture designer paper.

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #29 – November – Thanksgiving

Hi! I’m here with a card for The Mixed Media Card Challenge for November:

Here’s my card:

The background, I made with some Brusho Crytal Color, smooshed onto some watercolor paper.

I stamped with a real leaf, inked up with various inks, mixed with glitter, and then fussy cut the leaf out.

I used the ARTplorations stencil Weathered Wood and stenciled with gold embossing paste.

I stamped the sentiment and fussy cut it.

I mounted the leaf with foam tape and added the sentiment to the card.

Lastly, I attached the panel to a card base.I had a lot of fun making these cards! Make sure you stop by The MMCC blog and check out my teammates’ superb creations!

Bokeh Hearty Leafy Hugs

Here’s a photo to give you an idea of how I used a homemade leaf stencil (made with a Papertrey Ink Grateful Leaf Die) to achieve the hearty bokeh effect. img_3252edited

Did you know that hugs truly are good for your health? Look it up!

I removed the stencil/mask and added some yellow hearts around the edges of the leaf.

I added 1 paper and 1 vellum leaf outline and hugs (CUTplorations) die cut.

I offset the die cuts so that the stem and an outline of the leaf would show.

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #28 – October – Black and Purple

Hi! I’m here with a reminder post for The Mixed Media Card Challenge for October:

Here’s my card:

I water colored with a variety of purples onto a watercolor paper background and then stamped with black ink and real leaves from my yard. I attached the purple panel to a piece of black card stock and then stenciled with ARTplorations Some Birds and then heat embossed and added silver glass pen highlights.

I dry embossed the panel.

Lastly I attached the fussy cut sentiments from the STAMPlorations sets BOLD SENTIMENTS: Explore and Trendy Birds 2.
