AAA Cards Game #119 – Christmas in July

Hi! I’m back with some Clean and Simple Christmas cards for AAA Cards Game #119.

Special tips for competing (and being eligible to win) in this game:

As always, we’re looking for Clean and Simple (CAS) cards, BUT for this game please feature an CHRISTMAS theme. AAA Cards is a SUPER CAS challenge. If you’d like to play for a prize make sure to follow our CAS guidelines.
As always and for all of our games our definition of Clean and Simple means that white space should not be patterned, embossed or textured! This includes pre-patterned, pre-embossed and pre-textured cardstock and papers.

As always and for all of our games our definition of Clean and Simple means that white space should not be patterned, embossed or textured.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolor October – Gold

I’m very happy to be back with you for this month’s HLS Watercolor challenge.

I have 2 cards to share with you today.

Here’s my first card using multiple HLS products, Brusho Watercolor Crystals and a gold glass pen.

To make this card:

I made a stencil with a butterfly die and stamped in butterflies in the negative spaces of the stencil.
Removed the stencil and masked off the stamped images.
Sprinkled on red Brusho crystals.
Spritzed with water.
Allowed to the water dry and fussy cut the panel.
Added some gold accents with the glass pen.
Stamped, cut and added the sentiment.
Assembled the card with foam tape and snail adhesive.Here’s card#2. Comparatively, it’s a very CAS (Clean and Simple) card. I used stamps from Doodled Flowers.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolor September – Spritz

Phew! Wow, it’s been a while! International moving and home renovation sure keeps a person busy! I want to extend my thanks to Kylie and my teammates at HLS for extending patience to me while I’ve been away. I’m very happy to be back with you for this month’s HLS Watercolor challenge.

Here’s my card using multiple HLS products and Brusho Watercolor Crystals.

To make this card:

I made a stencil with a butterfly die.
Sponged embossing ink through the stencil.
Sprinkled on red Brusho crystals.
Spritzed with water.
Allowed to the water dry, added clear embossing powder & heat embossed.
Watercolored with more yellow and green Brushos.
Stamped the leaves.
Stamped and fussy cut the sentiment.
Die cut, framed and assembled the card with foam tape and snail adhesive.

I’ll make this a quick post so that I can get back to some renovation projects and readying my house for our household goods to be delivered. My family and I are excited (dreading?!) about next week. We said goodbye to our things in Germany last March. We’re expecting our things (20 crates!) to be here on the 6th & 7th.

Here’s my card using Happy Little Stampers Thinking of You, Doodled Flowers and Butterfly Birthday.Lots of messy, lovely mixed media techniques went into the making of this card.

I used watercolor paper, ink-blending/sponging, stamping, masking, stenciling, gel pens, Glossy Accents, Stickles, gold pigment ink, fussy cutting and foam tape.
