TAGplorations Challenge – All About Winter – Non-Shaker Tea Kettle Tag – January 2

 I am happy to be here with you for STAMPlorations first tag challenge of 2018!

Here’s my non-shaker red tea kettle tag, using CUTplorations Tag O’Coffee & Let it Snow Dies.I love this little kettle! I have not used it before, but plan on using it again soon.

We’ve been having a very wintry winter here so far in Maine with 2 major snow events. We got 16″ (40.6 cm) of snow on Christmas Day and have been having daytime temperatures in the single digits Fahrenheit for over a week. Here I am (wearing the red coat), standing on a frozen lake, with my family on New Year’s Eve. We had lots of cold fun and then came in for a hot mug of chocolate.

Lots of cups of tea and chocolate are surely in my future if this weather continues.

 

I added Glossy Accents to the red ink sponged tea kettle, blue Smooch Spritz to the blue sponged “Let it Snow” and sparkly snow.

Here’s my card using Happy Little Stampers Thinking of You, Doodled Flowers and Butterfly Birthday.Lots of messy, lovely mixed media techniques went into the making of this card.

I used watercolor paper, ink-blending/sponging, stamping, masking, stenciling, gel pens, Glossy Accents, Stickles, gold pigment ink, fussy cutting and foam tape.

AAA #49 Word Play – use mostly words

 I’m happy to be here with you today with a post for AAA Cards Challenge #49: Word Play -use mostly words as a member of the AAA Cards Design Team.

I wanted my card to appear as if someone had written on a steamy/rainy window with their finger.

 The stamps are from SU’s “Another Thank You” stamp set.

I used an emboss-resist technique, some water-color smooshing, some Glossy Accents and silver sequins to achieve this look. I double stamped and embossed the “Thank You” so that it looks like the window started to steam back up.
