STAMPlorations March Challenge – All About Spring and Faith

Hi! I’m here with a special post for STAMPlorations March Challenge.

No automatic alt text available.

You’ve probably heard by now that STAMPlorations owner and designer, Shery Russ, welcomed a daughter named “Winter” to the family in December. In order to give Shery some time to catch her breath we are going to take a little “Winter” break!

There will be just one STAMPlorations challenge for you to join for the months of February, March and April. You’ll find it announced on STAMPlorations blog the 5th of each of those months. The challenge will have a theme and as long as you follow the theme, any type of project is welcome! We’ll return to our regular schedule in May.

Here’s my card using STAMPlorations: Faith – Typografia In FaithBig Bloom Factory and CUTplorations: Flutter Zen 1 Layering Dies.

Lots of masking, stamping, a rainbow of color, a great sentiment stamp and a surprise of hidden butterflies.

So, our theme for the February challenge is All About Spring and Faith! What does that make you think of?

I had a lot of fun making this card. I hope that you enjoyed seeing it and have been inspired to create something for this month’s challenge. Take a look at what some of the DT STAMPgirls created.

Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Flowers- Because He First Loved Us

Hi! I’m happy to be here today with a pretty rose card to share with you. 🙂 img_1776-copy  First I created a a background panel using a variety of Brushos Crystal Colors. I made this panel by picking up some left over color from another project with a piece of watercolor paper.img_1810edited

Then I used Altenew’s VINTAGE FLOWERS Clear Stamp Set, stamping and masking a variety of reds, pinks, oranges and yellows roses around the border of my panel. I added some leaves too.

I spritzed on some Smooch Spritz.

I stamped the sentiment with the Simon Says Clear Stamp set BLESSED.

After that I did some fussy cutting. I added some more Smooch Spritz and a some splatters of water color onto the panel. I added the panel to the card base with foam tape and then fussy cut the base.

for this card by Cathie!

Cathie said, “Melissa’s card is gorgeous! The way she created the layers of this masterpiece is amazing. She began with a simple background and added beautiful flowers by stamping and masking them in a bright and cheerful color palette. It’s such a beautiful and elegant card!”

Thanks Cathie! I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement.
