AAA Cards Challenge #89 – Bright & Beautiful

I’m happy to be here today for AAA Cards Game #89 – Bright & Beautiful.

Our Sponsor: So Suzy Stamps – $25 gift certificate

We’ve also got four of the So Suzy DT guesting with us for this challenge!

Here’s my card:img_5899_edited-1

I love using stencils and I love butterflies. img_5904_edited-1

So, this week, I combined a favorite stencil and a favorite butterfly stamp to make a bright and beautiful card.

img_5910_edited-1I stamped the sentiment, did some fussy cutting and added the chevron butterfly panel to the card front with foam tape.

img_5907_edited-1Thanks so much for stopping by!

I hope that you have been inspired to play along with us this game. Make sure you stop by AAA Cards and visit all of the design team members blogs.
Grace & Peace,
Melissa

  2. After the panel dried, I added white embossing paste through the same stencil.img_5356_edited-1
  3. I matted the rainbow chevron panel with blue and white cardstock.
  4. I sponged blue ink through the same stencil again, around the edge of the entire matted panel.img_5346_edited-15. img_5357_edited-16. I decorated the calendar by sponging a variety of inks through the Chevron Crazy stencil once again.

7. I inked the edges of the calendar by swiping it across a turquoise ink pad and then attached it with foam tape.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers: January Guest Designer – January 27, 2017

https://i0.wp.com/coffeelovingcardmakers.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/GuestDesignerSlider.jpg

Hi! I’m very happy to be with you today with a 4th, and final, post as the January Guest Designer for Coffee Loving Cardmakers! I have two paper-pieced die cut cards to share with you today.

slide005

slide001

I used the CUTplorations Anywhere There’s Coffee Die.

SheryRuss_AnywhereTheresCoffee-preview

I also used the CUTplorations word die, “thanks”.

thanks-worddie

I have a discount code for you! Shery, of STAMPlorations, has generously given me a code to share with you.

Use COUPON code STAMPGIRLMELISSA and receive 20% OFF at STAMPlorations!

I also used these lovely snowflake dies.

Here’s a quick slideshow of how I pieced together the travel mugs.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

slide007I continued to piece together the mugs (and then pieced in the snowflake and “thanks’ into the popped up mug) and dry embossed the group on the card front.

slide006  slide002I had a lot of fun using this technique. I love paper piecing and bold, bright, graphic designs.

Thank you, Amy and all of you coffee-lovers, I’ve been so glad to be with you as the Guest Designer for January at Coffee Loving Cardmakers.

Thanks for stopping by!
Grace & Peace,
Melissa
