Here’s my card:

I love using stencils and I love butterflies.

So, this week, I combined a favorite stencil and a favorite butterfly stamp to make a bright and beautiful card.

I stamped the sentiment, did some fussy cutting and added the chevron butterfly panel to the card front with foam tape.

Mixed Media Challenge + Stencil Sunday – March 2017 Mini Calendar

Hi! I’m very happy to be here with as a member of the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Design team with a project for Stencil Sunday and the March Mixed Media Challenge.

Here’s a mini calendar page that I made using the ARTplorations stencil Chevron Crazy.The calendar measures approximately 5 3/4″ x 8 3/4″ or 14.5 x 22.25 cm matted.

First, I created the rainbow panel with Brushos and the Chevron Crazy stencil on watercolor paper.
After the panel dried, I added white embossing paste through the same stencil.
I matted the rainbow chevron panel with blue and white cardstock.
I sponged blue ink through the same stencil again, around the edge of the entire matted panel.5. I designed the little calendar as a word document and printed it onto white cardstock. I die cut the calendar with the smallest of the CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

6. I decorated the calendar by sponging a variety of inks through the Chevron Crazy stencil once again.

7. I inked the edges of the calendar by swiping it across a turquoise ink pad and then attached it with foam tape.

I really had a lot of fun creating this bright calendar page and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own mixed media projects! I’d be very glad to have you join us for the mixed media challenge this month. I’m so excited to be here with you and I can’t wait to see what you make!

Here’s a mini calendar page that I made using ARTplorations stencils:

The calendar measures approximately 6 1/4″ x 10 1/4″ or 16 x 26 cm matted.

First, I created the heart background with the ARTplorations Hearts In Bubbles stencil with red embossing paste and then pink watercolor paint.
I added gold embossing paste through the ARTplorations Chevron Crazy stencil.
I matted the panel with vellum, gold foil cardstock and then pink cardstock.
I added some more hearts with the ARTplorations Hearts All Over stencil and pink embossing paste.
I used the ARTplorations Dots All Over stencil to add white and silver embossing paste.
When the paste dried, I sponged on gold pigment ink.
I designed the little calendar as a word document and printed it onto white cardstock. It measures about 4″ x 2 1/4″ or 4 cm x 5.75 cm.
I inked the edges of the calendar by swiping it across red and then gold ink pad and added some pink dots as well and then attached it with foam tape.I had a lot of fun creating this calendar page and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own mixed media projects! I’d be very glad to have you join us for the mixed media challenge this month. I’m so excited to be here with you and I can’t wait to see what you make!

ARTplorations Stencil Hop – December 15, 2016

Hi! I’m excited to be here with you for the 2nd day of the ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop.

Here’s my card: I used the ARTplorations Stencils Chevron Crazy (to create the branches/boughs) on the tree and then Dots All Over to decorate the tree.

STAMPlorations – Holiday TAGplorations – Reminder 2

Hi! I’m excited to be here for STAMPlorations with another reminder post for the first ever Holiday TAGplorations event.

I made a bunch of tags for the kick-off day and as a reminder the day before yesterday. You can see those here or here if you’d like. Remember to comment and link up over at the 4 November post. 🙂

I have 3 tags to share with you today.

I heat embossed the framed coffee cup, masked off the mug, sponged on the red stripes and sponged on the brown around the edges.

This next tag os a long one! I used the smallest die in the luggage tags die set and did some partial die cutting to make the tag base. The mugs are from the Anywhere There’s Coffee set. I fussy cut those. The rainbow cord is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, but I’m not sure if they carry it anymore.

The next tag is another long one and could also be used as a bookmark. img_3561_edited-1 I used the smallest rectangle in the Rectangle Nesting Dies and did some partial die cutting again. I also did some masking and elongated the Framed Tea Cups stamp.

After heat embossing in white, I added Brusho Color Crystals and spray starch. I can’t decide if I’ll use this as a tag or put it in someone’s stocking as a bookmark. 🙂 I love rainbows. It would be fun to get one in my stocking on Christmas morning!
