Sun & Sprinkles

Hi! Thanks for visiting. Today I have a simple 1-layer card to share with you.

IMG_7639editedI made a homemade umbrella stencil and used PTI’s Blue Skies stamp set.

I added Glossy Accents to the Sprinkles to make them shiny. 🙂 I have a new favorite tool which I used to apply the Glossy Accents on this card. It rocks! It is a precision tip applicator bottle:

I’d like to play this at Less is More’s: Week 243: Recipe, Something Shiny.

Poppy Sisters

Today I have a pair of sister CAS cards to share with you.

Here is the first one: IMG_4834edited

To start this first card I used a paint brush to apply VersaMark ink to my SU Poppy Background stamp. Then I added Melon Mambo and Pool Party ink with my SU markers on top of the Versamark.

IMG_4835editedIMG_4841edited IMG_4842edited IMG_4595editedI stamped the image and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. ( I’m going to play this over at JUG’s #292: Embossing.) Then I colored in the flowers and stems with the same markers.

IMG_4596edited  After that, I used a scalloped circle to IMG_4598editeddie cut the flowers and a Avery Elle “hello” die to cut out the sentiment. I’m going to play this at Casology’s Cue Word: Shape and Seize the  Birthday’s: Use the Negative.

And here’s the sister:

For this card I used nearly the same technique as with the first except that I did not use VersaMark or heat embossing. Also, I added the “hello” die from the first card with several white hellos below it to add some dimension. I made a scalloped window and rounded the corners on this card too. The design for this card was inspired by  HLS’s May CAS: Die Cuts/Punches Challenge and SSS Wednesday’s: Simon Says Let’s Get Sentimental.

3 Birthday Squares

Today I have another birthday card to share with you. IMG_4579edited

To make this card, first, I die cut some squares out of my stash of “smooshed” watercolor paper. I adhered the squares with Tombow Mono liquid glue and popped up the smallest one with foam tape.

I used a PTI sentiment stamps for this card. The design was inspired by Casology’s Cue Word: Shape, HLS’s May CAS: Die Cuts/Punches Challenge.
