Hi! I’m very happy to be here with as a member of the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Design team with a project for Stencil Sunday and the May Mixed Media Challenge.
Remember to add the following challenge graphic to your post in order to be eligible for the prizes each month.
The winner will receive a $15 STAMPlorations gift certificate or 2 ARTplorations stencils. And the top picks receive an ARTplorations stencil of their choice.

I had a lot of fun creating this calendar page and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own mixed media projects! I’d be very glad to have you join us for the mixed media challenge this month. I’m so excited to be here with you and I can’t wait to see what you make!

For your convenience here our challenge rules:
Your project(s) can be anything mixed media except a card (so no cards, please!).
You must use a stencil or stencils (any brand) in your project(s).
You can enter as many projects as you wish as long as they are in separate blog posts.
You must display our STAMPlorations/ARTplorations mixed media challenge graphic in your post and link back to the challenge post (not just the main blog) in order to be eligible to win (and receive the corresponding prize).
Link up by May 31, 11:55 p.m. Pacific time (GMT-7).
This is also a reminder that you have a few days to play along with this month’s Mixed Media Challenge.
I have a tag to share with you today. To make this tag, I used an ARTplorations stencil, tinted embossing pastes, inks, watercolor paints, twine, a die cut sentiment and some rhinestones.
I started making my tag by stamping the bird from STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2, carefully fussy cutting the image and inking it up the stamp with a variety of colors.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure you stop over and check out my Design Teammates’ super creations!
Grace & Peace,

choice of 1 ARTplorations stencil to the top picks.
To make these cards, first I sponged a rainbow of colors onto a full page of white cardstock.
I printed my verses onto the inked-up page. I cut the page so that it would fit through my Big Shot and then die cut the tags/cards.
I added some Glossy Accents, gold glass pen, and sequins to the front card and yellow cardstock to the back.

Also, I’d be very happy if you’d like to follow me……
(e.g., new chapter, changing colors, changing season)
optional element: water
Here’s my card:
I suppose that this is a very nontraditional card for the month of January in the Northern Hemisphere, but I tried to illustrate our challenge’s theme and the verse I used at the same time.
The blooms gradually change from a frosty, frozen white to a golden, glowing yellow. Moving from the frosty Winter to the warm Summer. This is something to celebrate in my book! I really love how this card turned out. It was one of those rare times when I had a picture of a finished card in my head and I was able to exactly execute what I had seen. 🙂 Yay!
I started by stenciling a rainbow onto the white background panel with the ARTplorations Retro Circles stencil.
Then I stenciled white, silver, blue, green and yellow embossing paste through ARTplorations Bloom Silhouettes stencil.
I printed out my own sentiment onto vellum and added a narrow blue foil mat to the stenciled panel.
I assembled the pieces by folding the vellum around the matted panel and then mounting it on a white card base. This will be the first and last challenge for 2017 at The Mixed Media Card Challenge blog. After 2 1/2 years, it’s time to say goodbye. Make sure you stop by The MMCC blog and check out my teammates’ superb creations! We hope that you play along and enjoy this final challenge.
