STAMPlorations 2017 Giving Thanks and Wishlist Linky Party Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome and thanks for stopping by! I’m happy to be here for a special event for STAMPlorations. It is STAMPlorations’ 3rd Annual Giving Thanks Blog Hop. This year there are lots of great creations to behold and prizes galore.

We have representatives from some of your favorite challenge Blogs joining us for this hop.

For the projects, the participating designers used 11 new stamp sets designed particularly for this hop: three 4×6 sets (Thankful & Blessed, Wonderfall Time, and Words of Gratitude) and 8 Typografia: Thankful stamps (Full of Thanksgiving, Giving, Gratitude is the Blossom, Something to be Thankful for, Thankful People, Thy Goodness, Unknown Blessings, and We Have Enough).

I am featuring 2 new Typografia Thankful, Gratitude is the Blossom & Something to be Thankful For, stamps. I also used a bunch of other STAMPlorations products. (Please see the bottom of this post for all of the products used.)

Here’s my first of 2 cards.

There are 2 parts to this event:

a blog hop with 36 stops (including this blog) where you can leave a little word of encouragement and thanks to the designers; and
a wishlist linky party where you can link up your wishlist, as well as up to 3 projects you create that express how thankful and/or grateful you are.

The hop and linky are open until the end of the month so you can take your time hopping and linking up.

LOVE TAGplorations – Day 7 – February 14, Monday

Hi! I’m here for the 7th and final day of the LOVE TAGplorations event.

I have a pink peek-a-boo mixed media heart tag to share with you today.

I cut a tag using the CUTplorations Luggage Tags Nesting Dies. preview-stamplorations-luggagetags

I used the Hearts All Over – ARTplorations Stencil to add pink embossing paste to the larger, base tag.

I also added pink embossing paste to the small pink tag with the Dots All Over ARTplorations Stencil.

I die cut the XOXO sentiment using the CUTplorations XOXO Word Die.

I finished by adhering the tags together, attaching the top tag with a turquoise brad, and adding some turquoise twine.I had a lot of fun making this tag! Make sure you stop by and check out the STAMPlorations Girls’ superb creations!

LOVE TAGplorations – Day 1 – February 8, Wednesday

Hi! I’m here for the first day of the LOVE TAGplorations event. The event will last for 7 days, with the final day being Valentine’s Day. The STAMPlorations Girls will be showcasing love-themed or Valentine’s Day tags. You can play along too!

Here’s my tagged card.

I started by stamping the bird from STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2, carefully inking up the stamp with a variety of colors, onto some white cardstock.

I masked off the bird and branch with some removable sticky label. Next, I sponged yellow and light green ink through the ARTplorations stencil Leaf Prints.

Then, I used the another ARTplorations stencil and added some tinted embossing paste with Retro Circles.

I made a tag using the CUTplorations Luggage Tags Nesting Dies.

I added pink embossing paste to the tag with the Dots All Over ARTplorations Stencil.

After the tag dried, I sponged on some deep pink ink onto the card front and the tag, using the Zen Hearts ARTplorations stencil.

Then, I die cut the “XOXO” sentiment with the CUTplorations XOXO Word Die out of the tag and inlaid another white die cut into the tag.

I rounded all of the corners of my mixed media bird panel, the yellow mat, and the card base. Lastly, I assembled the panels to the card and attached the tag sentiment and a bit of turquoise twine.

Mixed Media Challenge + Stencil Sunday – February 2017 Mini Calendar

Here’s a mini calendar page that I made using ARTplorations stencils:

The calendar measures approximately 6 1/4″ x 10 1/4″ or 16 x 26 cm matted.

First, I created the heart background with the ARTplorations Hearts In Bubbles stencil with red embossing paste and then pink watercolor paint.
I added gold embossing paste through the ARTplorations Chevron Crazy stencil.
I matted the panel with vellum, gold foil cardstock and then pink cardstock.
I added some more hearts with the ARTplorations Hearts All Over stencil and pink embossing paste.
I used the ARTplorations Dots All Over stencil to add white and silver embossing paste.
When the paste dried, I sponged on gold pigment ink.
I designed the little calendar as a word document and printed it onto white cardstock. It measures about 4″ x 2 1/4″ or 4 cm x 5.75 cm.
I inked the edges of the calendar by swiping it across red and then gold ink pad and added some pink dots as well and then attached it with foam tape.I had a lot of fun creating this calendar page and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own mixed media projects! I’d be very glad to have you join us for the mixed media challenge this month. I’m so excited to be here with you and I can’t wait to see what you make!
