Precious Moments – T 4 2

So! I had a ridiculous number of ideas for this week’s CASology Week 158 Challenge: Precious.

Here’s another card for this week’s challenge.

As soon as I saw the cue word last week, the ideas came flying into my mind that I thought my brain might fry! So, I decided to sit down and and put them into a cute new sketch book that I purchased at IKEA a few days previously. I paid about 2 Euro and some change for it and I’m enjoying using it. 🙂

I quickly sketched 8 different ideas for CASology’s cue word! You can see my initial idea for this card on the bottom left of my sketch book.

IMG_9887editedThen I got a peek at this week’s sketch from CTS. I changed my layout a little bit so that this card was also inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch.

The colors are from this week’s ColourQ Challenge #302.

IMG_9763editedI spent a lot of time stamping in my damp bathing suit this weekend and am so grateful for a lot of rain last night and some much cooler weather today! Thank you, Lord!

I’m going to play this card at CASology’s Week 158:Precious and CAS(E) This Sketch #135.

Thanks for stopping by!

Precious Freedom

So! I had a ridiculous number of ideas for this week’s CASology Week 158 Challenge: Precious.

Here’s another card for this week’s challenge.

IMG_9755editedAs soon as I saw the cue word last week, the ideas came flying into my mind that I thought my brain might fry! I quickly sketched 8 different ideas for CASology’s cue word! Although I sketched 3 other cards first, “Freedom” and the star card idea were really the very first idea to pop into my head. IMG_9888editedI made a lot of cards this past weekend, avoiding the heat, but did not get to this one until last night.

Then I got a peek at this week’s sketch from CTS. I changed my layout a little bit so that this card was also inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch.

IMG_9757editedI put off making this because I thought it might be a little fussy to make, especially when it was about 85 degrees F in my stamping nook! However, I was surprised at how quickly and easily it came together. I spent a lot of time stamping in my damp bathing suit!!

Square Just for You Butterfly

So! I have a little square butterfly card to share with you today. I’m excited to share this card with you because I used a brand new stamp set from Happy Little Stampers 1rst stamp release!

IMG_9628editedHere’s the set:

Butterfly BirthdayI embellished this card with some gold wire shaped into a flower, Doodle Bug gold Sprinkles and gold embossing powder. All of that and I think it still has fairly CAS look don’t you?

IMG_9632editedI created some bg paper by sponging SU’s Real Red, melon Mambo & Rich Razzleberry. IMG_9606edited_edited-1I stamped the butterflies in VersaMark and then heat embossed in gold.

1-layer Square Happy Anniversary w/ hearts

Today I have a one-layer card to share with you. This is going to be a quick post because my husband is home today and we have a project to work on before it gets too blazing hot outside!

It’s currently 95 F (35.2 C) at 10:50 a.m.!

Here’s my card:IMG_9572edited

I used my PTI Hearts Cover Plate Die to make a mask/stencil for this card.

IMG_9567edited

I’ve had the hearts cover plate die for a while now. I really really like it! The layout of this card reminds me of this week’s Muse’s, Joan Bardee’s, card.

Many similarities here, don’t you think? Lots of white space, sentiment as the focal point, little leaves in the letters, hearts…… :).

IMG_9593edited

I also used PTI’s Stacked sentiments.  IMG_9583editedThis was the first time I’d inked up any of the Stacked Sentiments.  I think that I’m going enjoy using these over and over again. I think I might ask Santa for the dies to go with these stamps. 🙂 (I think I’ve already maxed out my birthday wish list for PTI dies!)IMG_9601edited  I’m going to play this at  One-Layer Simplicity Challenge #19, Strip Down, Muse’s Challenge #127, CASolgy’s: Week 158 Precious, LIM’s Week 235 Color: Berry Shades.
