Purple Coneflowers with White Embossing

Hi! I’m here with a bright card on a gray wet day. Just a quick post because I am nursing my husband who has come down with a very bad cold/the flu and we are also trying to get ready for our moving company. They are coming on Monday!

I CASEd the lovely Anita’s beautiful creation for as this week’s Muse.

Here’s my CASE of Anita’s beauty.I decided to leave mine without a sentiment for now. I like that it is one layer. I heat embossed in white on fuchsia cardstock and then colored with a variety of Spectrum Noir markers and a black Sharpie.I’m going to share this on Instagram for The Daily Marker’s 30 Coloring challenge.

Do you use Instagram? I’d love to have you as a follower there! 🙂

Find me at honeybeelanecards.

I used the same stamp as Anita. It is called Echinacea Field, by Imagination Crafts.

I happened to buy this stamp in Dunoon, Scotland this past summer after attending the Happy Little Stampers stamping retreat in Swindon. I had the pleasure of meeting Anita as she was there too. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Rejoicing Posy

Hi. I worked on this card yesterday to distract myself from a bad outbreak of hives, but just could not make myself blog about it. I’m trying to post something every day for the The Daily Marker’s challenge, but I had to go to bed and try to get some rest.

So, here I am with a card for today.slide01 Just as applicable for today. slide01This day, this allergy triggered, hive-covered-body, getting-ready-for-another-international-move-day IS the day that the Lord has made. slide03

I WILL rejoice and be glad in it! If you are a person prayer, I would greatly appreciate your supplications on my behalf.

   slide04

As you can see, I did some coloring on Kraft cardstock.

slide02  Some fussy cutting and a little stamping and I finished my card.slide02Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO Butterfly with Hearts

Hi! I’m here with a quick post.

slide02  This card showcases many of my favorite tools, things and techniques.slide01I used the color red, ink-blending, hearts, butterflies, ‘XOXO’, camouflaged die cutting, and white space all together on 1 card! Ahhhhh!slide01

First I did some ink-blending on white cardstock. I used a Papertrey Ink Heart Cover to die cut the ink-blended hearts.slide04Then, I adhered a pattern of hearts to the white cardstock. I die cut the Happy Little Stampers Butterfly from the center of the heart pattern.

slide03I added the red card base and the attached the heart panel. I added the butterfly with foam tape. I finished by adding the HLS “XOXO” sentiment.

slide02I hope that you enjoyed your visit.

Grateful – Vellum Leaf with Plaid

Hi! I’m here with a card inspired by several fun Fall Challenges.img_3724_edited-1

I created the plaid background by first masking off the center third.img_3742_edited-1 Then, I repeatedly masked off the top and bottom third (taping over the masked-off center as well) and sponging on ink.img_3747_edited-1 I love using this technique.

I used ColourQ’s colors, but missed the link up! UGH.
