This was my second attempt at masking with freezer paper. You can take a look at my first one here. I used a PTI cover plate to cut a mask out of freezer paper. I ironed the mask onto some watercolor paper and painted on a variety of watered down inks with a paint brush.

I thought that using this intricate die might have been a bit ambitious and did not expect such crisp results.

Mask-erade Class – Day 4 – Freezer Paper

Today I have a Mask-erade Class Day 4 card to share with you.IMG_5533edited

I’m taking the Mask-erade Class over at Online Card Classes. This was my first attempt at masking with freezer paper. Please take a peek at my second attempt at this technique here. I used two separate masks, an open heart overlapped by the “hello”. The hearts are Sizzix and the hello is Avery Elle.

I used Tim Holtz distress inks with acetate and Laura Bassen’s “smooshing” technique. You can get a peek at one her cards for Day 4 below, top center.maskeradeI used some “Smooch Spritz” to add a little bit of interest.
