12 Tags with Loll 2015 – Tag #8

Hello! I’m here with another tag for Loll’s Twelve Tags of Christmas Mixed Media Tag event.

My tag #8 is HUGE! 🙂

I used a watercolor technique from this week’s Make It Monday#230: Cover Plate Watercoloring with Ashley to make his tag. I used removable sticky label to create the stencil with PTI’s Peony Cover Plate die.

After water coloring and removing the stencil, I added Glossy Accents “dew”…..IMG_0482editedand some green Stickles too.

I used a raspberry red and a white gel pen as well. IMG_0486edited

Make It Monday #224: Two-Toned Stamped Sentiments

Hi! Thanks for visiting Honeybeelane. PRIZE ALERT through 27 Sept! Make sure you read to the end of this post.

So! I’m here with a quick post for Make It Monday #224. This week Danielle’s showed us how to make a two-toned sentiment with stamps and dies.  Go here, to see her tips for this super fun technique!

Here are Danielle’s cards:

Here’s mine:  IMG_7541editedI stamped the sentiment in black ink on the red die cut. Then I stamped in VersaMark on the white cs and heat embossed in red. Next, I traced the sentiment in white and black. Lastly, I traced the entire sentiment in Glossy Accents. I’m not sure that I like the busyness of the 3 colors.

So, I think that I will try re-making this card with this technique, but next time I will use white embossing powder on the red card stock instead of black ink. I used PTI’s Heart Cover Plate Die and Graceful Greetings and Choose Joy stamps sets.

Make It Monday #222: Die Cut Kissing

Here I am with another MIM post. 🙂 This week Betsy used an old stamp kissing technique but changed it up a bit by using a stamp and a die cut instead of two stamps. Honestly, stamp kissing is a very new technique to me. But then, I’m a newbie at stamping.  I started this wonderful adventure with my friend, Cindy, just a short 2 1/2 years ago! This technique was fun and I think I’ll be trying it again very soon!

IMG_0610editedFirst, I did a test run with the 2 PTI products I wanted to use, the Bloomers stamp set, and the Heart cover Plate die.  The birthday sentiment is from the Bloomers stamp set too.

The process……

I trimmed the stamped panel down and had some pretty strips left.

I couldn’t bare to toss them out, so I used them to decorate the inside……..

which is very unusual for me. I’m very happy with how it turned out.

IMG_0605edited I stamped the inside with “Many Blessings” from PTI’S Scripted Stamp Set. Besides playing this over at PTI’s MIM #221, I’d also like to play this over at WAW’s Challenge #198 – Anything Goes

SSS Wednesday’s Simon Says Anything Goes.

Make It Monday #221: Masking Sentiments

I’m back for another Make It Monday Challenge!  This week, Ashley’s gave us some masking tips for our sentiments. You can check it out here.

Here’s one of Ashley’s lovely cards.

Here’s the one I made.

IMG_0271editedI used a stamp from PTI’s A Cheerful Heart sentiment stamp set, the cherries are from PTI’s A Second Helping of Sunshine and the striped paper is from the Clipsters kit.

I enjoy using this technique.

I have tried the technique in the past and have fun with it every time I use it. Here are some cards that I made a while back.

Abby’s Project – Make It Monday #220: Die Cut Mini Notebooks

HI I’m Abby! I’m the almost 11 y.o. daughter (20 August) of Honeybee. I decided that I really liked Mrs. Phillips MIM #220 project. So I made a little notebook this morning. Watch her video to see how easy it is to make one yourself!

IMG_9874editedI used some stamps from PTI’s Ahoy Stamp Set to stamp the front page of the notebook.

IMG_9876editedI’m going to share this over at SSS Kid’s Summer Vacation Challenge: Anything Goes.

I like to color on stamps with different colors. That’s what I did with the little anchor stamp. Then I used a circle punch to punch it out. The anchor is covering up the staple that I used to hold the notebook together.

Thanks for looking!
