For this card, I printed one of my photographs on vellum.

I’m playing this over at Little Tangles Challenge #55- Sequins . The sentiment is a free digi stamp from Little Tangles. I’m also playing this over at Seize the Birthday’s:Anything Goes and CASology’s Week  140:Spring.

Although this card has several layers with the photograph printed on vellum and framed with some black card stock I think it’s still fairly CAS.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace, Love & Joy

Today I have another card  for Virginia’s View and ATSM.

I’m playing this over at Little Tangles Challenge #55- Sequins and I’m also playing at AEI♥U Challenge #23–Watercolor!  The Peace, Love & Joy sentiment is from Avery Elle’s Noel Clear Photopolymer stamp set and

I’m also playing at STAMPLorations where Kimberly Wiener is this month’s guest designer. I very much appreciate Kimberly, she’s such an encourager. 🙂

Here are her beautifully vibrant cards:

My card has several layers, leaves, watercolor paper popped up with foam tape, and the center from the die cut. I do have some more of the smooshed watercolor background papers left, so of course I’ll be playing with those again soon!IMG_2695

Warm greetings to PTI Blog Hoppers! I’m excited to share a watercolor card with you today.

IMG_1343My card was inspired by the challenge photo from PTI’s February Blog Hop Challenge. I was also inspired by a new product from Cosmo Cricket. It is watercolor paper named “Just Add Watercolors” and I think it looks pretty cool!

I wanted to create a similar pattern to PTI’s challenge photo using an emboss-resist technique, but didn’t have a Quatrefoil die or stamps to do so. I thought about it for a while before I came up with an idea. I used a stamp from my PTI Super Stripe stamp set, attaching it to my stamp press in a wavy line.

Background Basics: Super Stripes Stamp Set

Next, I stamped the wavy line in VersaMark and heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder.

Then I inked up my stamp press with a variety of ink pads, spritzed it with water and applied the press to the paper. This did not work as well as I’d hoped, so I got out my paint brushes and applied the ink that way instead.

I am very happy with the way this card turned out. I’m excited to try this technique with some of the other stamps in the same set as well as some other stamps.IMG_1347IMG_1352

In the Garden – 2

I’m excited to share another watercolor project with you today.

I used the colors from this week’s Colour Me Challenge #59: SU’s Pool Party, So Saffron & Real Red.

I used an emboss-resist technique on this card, stamping in VersaMark, adding clear embossing powder, heating and then painting the image and the background. I’m going to play this card over at Addicted to Stamps & More’s Challenge #132 – Make your Mark  and even though I don’t have any Neat and Tangled stamps I love the inspiring cards in their watercolor challenge, so I’m going to try playing over there for the first time!

Thanks for stopping by!
