CAS Cupcake – Think Pink & Out of the Box

I had fun making some different cupcake cards today. Here’s one that makes you think of a cupcake. Hannelie at CASology threw down the “think outside of the box” gauntlet. Here’s one of my attempts.

Well, I’m thinking outside of the cupcake box with this card. Waves of pink frosting? A sea maybe? With a little cheery bobbing on top?The pinked edge reminds me of a cupcake paper.

Make It Monday #216: Adding Color to Cover Plates

In this week’s MIM #216 Laura showed her tips for adding color to Cover Plate die cuts.  I really do love this technique.  I could barely wait to make a card for this challenge.

Since I don’t have any Copic Markers OR Ziggy-Ziggy-Ziggies, I opted for my Gelatos. here’s a slide show of the process which I used to make my card:

I’m going to play this over at Little Tangles Challenge #58 Die-cutting and  SSS Monday’s: Summer. I added some Glossy Accents “dew” and a sentiment from PTI’s Southwestern Style stamp set to my card.

Sweet Summer – Emboss Resist

Today I have a one layer, emboss-resist card to share with you.

I used a Little Tangles free digital stamp on this card. I used my VersaMark marker to trace the the Sweet Summer sentiment and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Next, I stamped over the sentiment with a variety of stamps from PTI’s Bitty Bouquets, Wee Folks and Brushed Blooms stamp sets.

I’m going to play this at Uniko Studio’s: Challenge #21: Flowers, ATCAS’ Challenge #64 – Animal and Little Tangles Challenge #56- Clean and Simple.
