Happy Little Stampers Watercolor December – Anything Goes

I’m very happy to be back with you for this month’s HLS Watercolor challenge.

This is a sad post for me, as I will be stepping down from Happy Little Stampers after this month. I am so thankful to my teammates and especially Kylie for their friendship and support over the past 2 1/2 years. Ladies, I count myself blessed to be able to call you friends.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

Here’s my card using Doodled Flowers.

I used Kylie’s fun flowers as snowflakes.

Here’s some music for you to enjoy if you’d like:

I heat embossed the flowers and then added blue Brusho crystal color.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit.

Thanks for stopping by!

I have 2 cards to share with you today.

Here’s my first card using multiple HLS products, Brusho Watercolor Crystals and a gold glass pen.

To make this card:

  1. I made a stencil with a butterfly die and stamped in butterflies in the negative spaces of the stencil.
  2. Removed the stencil and masked off the stamped images.
  3. Sprinkled on red Brusho crystals.
  4. Spritzed with water.
  5. Allowed to the water dry and fussy cut the panel.
  6. Added some gold accents with the glass pen.
  7. Stamped, cut and added the sentiment.
  8. Assembled the card with foam tape and snail adhesive. Here’s card#2. Comparatively, it’s a very CAS (Clean and Simple) card. I used stamps from Doodled Flowers.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolor September – Spritz

Phew! Wow, it’s been a while! International moving and home renovation sure keeps a person busy! I want to extend my thanks to Kylie and my teammates at HLS for extending patience to me while I’ve been away. I’m very happy to be back with you for this month’s HLS Watercolor challenge.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

Here’s my card using multiple HLS products and Brusho Watercolor Crystals.

To make this card:

  1. I made a stencil with a butterfly die.
  2. Sponged embossing ink through the stencil.
  3. Sprinkled on red Brusho crystals.
  4. Spritzed with water.
  5. Allowed to the water dry, added clear embossing powder & heat embossed.
  6. Watercolored with more yellow and green Brushos.
  7. Stamped the leaves.
  8. Stamped and fussy cut the sentiment.
  9. Die cut, framed and assembled the card with foam tape and snail adhesive.

I’ll make this a quick post so that I can get back to some renovation projects and readying my house for our household goods to be delivered. My family and I are excited (dreading?!) about next week. We said goodbye to our things in Germany last March. We’re expecting our things (20 crates!) to be here on the 6th & 7th.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit.

Happy Little Stamper Watercolor Challenge – June 2017 – Mask

Hello! I’m very excited to be here with you for our  HLS Watercolor Challenge.

As always at Happy Little Stampers’ challenges……..we have a prize for you!

Here’s my card, using Happy Little Stampers Butterfly Birthday, Doodled Flowers and Butterfly Dies.

img_1979_edited-1

img_4037_edited-1I smooshed my watercolor panel onto a craft mat that I had sprinkled with Brushos Crystal Color and spritzed/wetted. Then, to add some large, impressionistic bold flowers, I added more Brushos through a stencil. I did some stamping, masking and heat embossing with the butterfly and flower stamps. img_1984_edited-2Then, I did a combination partial die-cutting with a HLS Butterfly Die and also some fussy cutting to cut out the butterflies and flowers. I attached all of the pieces of the panel, including the cut-out pieces, in puzzle-like fashion, onto the front of a card base. I added foam tape to the flower/butterfly puzzle pieces. img_1978_edited-1I added white details with a gel pen. I stamped the Sending Hugs (Doodle Flowers) sentiment on black cardstock. I heat embossed and fussy cut that. img_1986_edited-1I hope that you are inspired and that you going to enjoy joining in too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Grace & Peace,
