Here’s my tagged card.

I started by stamping the bird from STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2, carefully inking up the stamp with a variety of colors, onto some white cardstock.

I masked off the bird and branch with some removable sticky label. Next, I sponged yellow and light green ink through the ARTplorations stencil Leaf Prints.

Then, I used the another ARTplorations stencil and added some tinted embossing paste with Retro Circles.

I made a tag using the CUTplorations Luggage Tags Nesting Dies.

I added pink embossing paste to the tag with the Dots All Over ARTplorations Stencil.

After the tag dried, I sponged on some deep pink ink onto the card front and the tag, using the Zen Hearts ARTplorations stencil.

img_7197_edited-1Then, I die cut the “XOXO” sentiment with the CUTplorations XOXO Word Die out of the tag and inlaid another white die cut into the tag.

I rounded all of the corners of my mixed media bird panel, the yellow mat, and the card base.   Lastly, I assembled the panels to the card and attached the tag sentiment and a bit of turquoise twine. img_7141_edited-1

I had a lot of fun making this tagged card! Make sure you stop by and check out the STAMPlorations Girls’ superb creations!

Thanks for stopping by!

Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin – CASEing Ksenija 3

Hi! I’m here Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin. 🙂 This is a great idea that Ksenija had to help us get back into the creative mode after Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. I’ve been having a lot of fun CASEing multiple cards from those offered up at Sweet Kobylin.

I started by CASEing our hostess, Ksenija’s beautiful offering. I have CASEd her card 3 different ways!

Here’s the 3rd one:

slide01 slide02   I used a favorite, Technique Tuesday’s Carefree Cosmo stamp.

Carefree Cosmo

I stamped the sentiment in my favorite Hero Arts Blue ink. Then I masked off the sentiment and stamped the flowers in the same blue. slide03Next, I watercolored the petals with a few shades of red Kuretake paints.

hi man

I have another masculine card to share with you today.

IMG_8767edited

I had fun doing this card. I used Tim Holtz (NBUS) distress ink to water color and a emboss resist technique. These are very new, and fun, techniques for me.

IMG_8760edited

The design for this card was inspired by Jenn for SSS’s Wednesday (It’s a Guy Thing) Challenge. I am also playing along at SSS’s Monday Challenge: Inky Background and Darnell’s NBUS challenge.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge BlogSimon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge BlogNever-Before-Used-Schtuff (Stamps, Dies, EFs, etc.)

Here’s another look at my card.

Supplies:

Dies: Alphabet Die (I can’t remember the brand. If you recognize it please let me know!)

Stamps: SU Hello Lovely (NBUS)

Ink: Variety of Tim Holtz (NBUS)

Paper: Water Color, Bazzill Marshmallow, SU Crumb Cake

Tools: Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool, Post-It Label Roll

Other: Foam tape, Clear Emossing Powder, Versamark, Uni-ball Silver Gel Pen

Celebrate Heartily

Today I’m sharing a very non-traditional card for me style-wise. I created a somewhat messy effect by directly applying ink to my background. I definitely took this as a chance to explore and play with ink… per the advice of the Monday Challenge Team over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog.

IMG_8730edited2

This background came about from another project. I had inked up some die cut hearts with my gold ink pad. The hearts were sitting on top of pink card stock. When I was finished inking the hearts I liked the look of the pink paper, so I set it aside to use another time.

Using a heart stamp, I added some different blue and green hearts to the background.

IMG_8732edited_edited-1

I used some Tim Holtz Distress Ink, a PTI sentiment stamp and my just-opened-last-night Fiskars Stamp press, all “NBUS”, to make this card. I am enjoying playing along at the NBUS challenge; it definitely is encouraging me to try that never before used “schtuff”. Check out another one of my cards for this challenge here.

IMG_8747edited

I think that I’m going to like the above stamp press. I had a smaller version of it, but this one is making me super happy!

IMG_8740edited Note,  I spelled schtuff incorrectly on my notepad. 😉

Supplies:

Stamps: PTI Pretty Petals (Celebrate everyday sentiment), Happy Hearts
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Mega Dies – Labels 17IMG_8743edited
Ink: Encore Gold Ultimate Metallic, Tim Holtz Evergreen Bough, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Shaded Lilac, SU Pool Party, Island Indigo, Pacific Pt, Versafine Onyx Black
Paper: SU Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, Island Indigo
Tools: Fiskars Stamp Press, SU Decorative Label Punch
Other: Uni-ball Gold Gel Impact Pen

This card was difficult to photograph! Here’s another look.
