Rainbow Butterfly – LOVE

Today I have an exciting announcement to make! I’m one of the newest mixed media card artists at The Mixed Media Card Challenge.  I’ll be joining the mixed media card challenge design team beginning in July. To celebrate the announcement today I made a bunch of butterfly cards today. I had a lot of fun making all sorts of different ones!

Here is a Clean & Graphic one:

IMG_6479edited I used a free/prize digi stamp from Stamplorations which I printed on SU! vellum. In the photo below the image is printed on watercolor paper. I’m going to play this at The Card Concept #37-The Butterfly Effect and AEI♥U Challenge #25 – Rainbow!

IMG_6480edited I colored on the front side of the vellum with my SU! markers. The sentiment is from Avery Elle’s Noel Stamp set.

I also made a slightly different, more colorful version of this card where I colored on the front side of the vellum.

Cosmo Photo – For You

Today I have another card  for Virginia’s View.IMG_2714

For this card, I printed one of my photographs on vellum. This card has several layers in addition to the photograph printed on vellum. I framed it with some of my smooshed watercolor paper which I made earlier this week. I also added a layer of fuchsia vellum. I think it’s still fairly CAS, but I’m not sure about that so I won’t play it over at CASology! 🙂

I’m also playing this over at Seize the Birthday’s:Anything Goes and AEI♥U Challenge #23–Watercolor! I used one of Avery Elle’s free digital stamps for the sentiment. I’m also playing along over at The Mixed Media Card Challenge #10:Flowers.

Challenge 23

Peace, Love & Joy

Today I have another card  for Virginia’s View and ATSM.

I’m playing this over at Little Tangles Challenge #55- Sequins and I’m also playing at AEI♥U Challenge #23–Watercolor!  The Peace, Love & Joy sentiment is from Avery Elle’s Noel Clear Photopolymer stamp set and

I’m also playing at STAMPLorations where Kimberly Wiener is this month’s guest designer. I very much appreciate Kimberly, she’s such an encourager. 🙂

Here are her beautifully vibrant cards:

My card has several layers, leaves, watercolor paper popped up with foam tape, and the center from the die cut. I do have some more of the smooshed watercolor background papers left, so of course I’ll be playing with those again soon!IMG_2695

GRAB OUR BADGE!Challenge 23

All the Best, Positive

Today I’m excited to share yet another rainbow heart card with you. 🙂

A bright paper rainbow of hearts surrounded by white. Looks a little like Michele’s at Muse’s challenge #100!

Here’s another look at my card.

First, I created a rainbow background paper with SU papers die cut with my pinked die cuts. Then, I used PTI’s Heart Cover Plate Die to make the rainbow of hearts.  For Casology’s Week 129 Challenge, I used a NBUS PTI sentiment stamp and some other, NBUS, Avery Elle Pinked ELLE-ments square dies along with clear embossing powder and some bubble wrap foam to make a homemade foam heart sticker for MIM’s #197.

Here is a card for AEI♥U’s Challenge – Paper Piecing.

I have never used this technique before and I enjoyed it very much.
