I’m here for AAA Cards Game #108.
Our lovely sponsor for this game is:
Our guest designers are Bev from Uniko and Sue from suescardcraft.blogspot.
Check out AAA Cards definition of “WHITE SPACE.” Colored card stock is great, but not patterned, embossed or textured.
Here’s my card using an old favorite, Uniko’s Background Builders: Squared.
I also used a new stamplorations alphabet plate die.
My sentiment was inspired by the DC Talk song “Luv Is A Verb.” I have heard DC Talk sing this song in person.
LUV is a verb – Chorus
(chorus 1)
Words come easy but don’t mean much
When the words they’re sayin’ we can’t put trust in
We’re talkin’ ’bout love in a different light
And if we all learn to love it would be just right
(chorus 2)
Hey, tell me haven’t ya heard?
Luv, is a serious word
Hey, I think it’s time ya learned
I don’t care what they say
I don’t care care what ya heard
The word luv, luv is a verb
Almost 22 years ago, a few days before our first child’s birth, my husband and I went to a DC Talk concert in Albuquerque. The concert was so loud that even though we sat in the far back, she did not move a bit during the entire concert or for a long time afterwards. That worried me! Needless to say, I did not attend loud concerts during my subsequent pregnancies.
I am still a big fan of DC Talk’s former lead singer, TobyMac’s, music. Some of my favorites are Feelin’ So Fly, Love Broke Through, Lights Shine Bright, Me Without You, and Speak Life.
I hope that you are inspired to play along at AAA Cards this game.

Updated Tuesday, February 6: I am very happy to share that I had 2 cards chosen as HMs at CASology. This card was Anna’s choice for an honorable mention at CASology’s SWOON challenge.
Anna said, “ Love Melissa’s clean and crisp design and I like the positioning of the image.”
Thanks, Anna!

What a gorgeous CAS card ! And what a beautiful use of this old Uniko stamp ! I particularly love your story and how you got inspired ! I do not know DC Talk, on my side it reminds me of the album “love is a four letter word” by Jason Mraz that I had the chance to see on stage too. Really fabulous card and perfect for our challenge ! Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Uniko !

Love how you used the Uniko stamps, so inspired! Great back story too, obviously no ill effects & I’m wondering if she has any memories lurking in her brain somewhere.
