Bokeh Hearty Leafy Hugs

Hi! I’m excited to share this card with you today!

Here’s a photo to give you an idea of how I used a homemade leaf stencil (made with a Papertrey Ink Grateful Leaf Die) to achieve the hearty bokeh effect.img_3252edited

Did you know that hugs truly are good for your health? Look it up!

I removed the stencil/mask and added some yellow hearts around the edges of the leaf.

I added 1 paper and 1 vellum leaf outline and hugs (CUTplorations) die cut.

I offset the die cuts so that the stem and an outline of the leaf would show.

  1. Stunning, Melissa! What an impressive effect – so much texture and colour-layering – love how you offset the die too. Hugs are definitely good for your health – couldn’t agree more. Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!

  2. The subtle touch of vellum adds another texture to your rich autumnal card! Love that leaf outline and the way you have stamped the hearts to create a textured background. Thank you for sharing with us at Less is More this week 🙂

  3. What a gorgeous card Melissa! The warm, rich colours of the leaf stencilling are fabulous, and using offset paper and vellum above is a super effect. It’s so eye catching and attractive. Fantastic card! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More 🙂
