Here’s Åsa’s  card:

OH! So fun! I couldn’t wait to CASE Åsa’s card. My design this month is a little (a lot) less literal than my usual CASEs. I hope that you enjoy it! IMG_0095edited

The elements I used from Åsa’s card? A purple bird, circles and a black Happy Birthday sentiment. I hope that you’ve been inspired to play along.IMG_0012edited

Please stop over at the challenge blog to see the super CASEs by my teammates on the HLS CASE the Designer Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Blooms Blog Hop and Linky Party

I’m here with a post for the STAMPlorations Color Blooms Blog Hop and Linky Party. The party runs today, Wednesday, August 31, through Tuesday, September 6; 11:55 p.m. Pacific.
Today I will featuring some cards I made with STAMPlorations new coloring book Color Blooms. IMG_1200edited
I colored and painted one of the lovely sunflower pages which is divided into different quarters on the 1 page. Here is the uncolored page:

In this post I’ll be sharing my before pictures (the 4 panels from the page I colored) and the finished set of note cards which I made with said page.
Here the 4 colored panels of the 1 page before:

Notice that I used a variety of mediums (some in combination) on the 4 panels from this one page.
Panel 1: Inktense pencils (a light application of water with a paintbrush)
Panel 2: Wax pastels
Panel 3: Oil pastels
Panel 4: Acrylic paint and Inktense pencils (without water)
Here is the set of note cards that I made:

Just a Note – Silhouette

Hi! I’m here today with a quick post. I don’t seem to have much time to make cards “just for fun” right now, but here’s number two for today!Slide003I applied masking fluid through the ARTplorations stencil Bloom Silhouettes onto watercolor paper,

preview-web-stencil-045-BloomSilhouettesallowed it to dry and then did some watercoloring. Slide004I removed the masking fluid and then replaced the stencil and sponged on some dark blue ink.Slide001 Then I used a combination of cutting with a paper trimmer and some fussy cutting to trim down the panel.    Slide005

I stamped the sentiment onto the card base and onto the panel.

I attached the panel to the card base and popped it up with some foam tape.Slide002

This was a fun card to make and would be quick and easy to duplicate.

Thanks for stopping by!

Grace & Peace,

Melissa

hi there

Hi! I’m here today with a quick post. I don’t seem to have much time to make cards “just for fun” right now, but here’s one! I used some NBUS on this! Hi there, Darnell!

Slide001

I applied masking fluid through the ARTplorations stencil Bloom Silhouettes (NBUS) onto watercolor paper,

allowed it to dry and then did some watercoloring.

Slide02

Allowed the paint to dry, removed the masking fluid, then I stamped the sentiment.

Then I used (more NBUS) two of the CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

I attached the panel to the card base and popped up the small panel with some foam tape.Slide03

This was a fun card to make and would be quick and easy to duplicate.
