Boo Boo!

Hi! I’m here with a quick post for Darnell’s April Fool’s Day Boo Boo Hop!

I made the following card, using an emboss-resist technique, for a Make It Monday Challenge recently. In order to be quick, I arranged a bunch of PTI Butterflies on my stamp press and inked them up with embossing ink. However, I must not have inked them up well enough or maybe pushed down too lightly because some of the images did not have enough embossing ink on them.

Here’s my card:

Soooo…. as you can see, there some partially bald butterflies! I will go back and use my embossing ink marker to add some more ink and then re-emboss.

Thanks for stopping by!
Grace and Peace,
Melissa

P.S. It’s pretty busy here at HoneyBeeLane during this time of month! Here are my current DT cards for some challenges you might be interested in participating in. Click on the photos to see more.

  1. Gah! I hate it when that happens so I feel your boo boo pain, Melissa! Especially after you’ve made a gorgeous background like this! I’m glad you have a marker so you can fix your poor bald butterflies!! Happy April Fool’s Day and thank you for playing in my first BFCBB Hop!! Hugs, Darnell (PS, I’m thrilled that you have become so popular as a DT member with the challenges – and deservedly so!!)

  2. I can so relate to this booboo, as I’ve done this so many times it’s ridiculous! That versamarker pen is a great lifesaver though, and your card is still beautiful – in spite of the balding butterflies 🙂

  3. Your card is incredibly lovely, Melissa, and had you not pointed out the boo-boos, I wouldn’t have noticed. Even so, they don’t detract from your sensational, swoon-inducing butterflies…

  4. I’ve done the same thing while embossing, Melissa… So frustrating when you’re trying hard to get something done! : ) Still is a pretty card. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and while I probably won’t try to draw anymore stems, I will definitely keep coloring and watercoloring flowers! Enjoy the day.
