Forever You – Spin

Hi! I’m here with a quick post for CASology’s: Week 187.

I would also like to play along at Word Art Wednesday’s Anything Goes: #221.

I made a card for my husband, as a reminder, as we await some big news from his work.

We’ve had quite the adventure during our 28 years together! From high school sweethearts, with a graduating class of 100, to living on 3 continents, making 6 successive Transatlantic moves and moving into our 12th house soon after our 2oth wedding anniversary, we’ve had quite the ‘Spin’. We had our four children born in 3 U.S. States and 1 European Country. There have many joys and sorrows and much to entrust to God! We are now approaching our 22nd wedding anniversary in May. Imagining life with anyone else is impossible, he’s my best friend.

So…….now we’re prayerfully awaiting yet another big announcement which will have a large impact on our family’s future. We should hear the news sometime this coming week. I have no idea what God has in store and don’t really know what I want! I know 2 things for sure though.

1. God has good plans for us.

2. Whatever the answer is, there will be lots of tears. At least on my part!

I’m praying that I will have His joy & peace no matter what.

Thanks for stopping by!
Grace & Peace

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #21 – March – Trees

Hi! I’m happy to be here for:

The Mixed Media Card Challenge

Our challenge for this month is:

Here’s my card:

Slide002I used some NBUS on this card. The large bird ARTplorations stencil and the Altenew stamps (bracnhes and leaves). Also the combination of techniques that I used is new to me. I’d like to play along at Darnell’s NBUS Challenge #6: Anything Goes and Simon Monday’s: Take a Leap Into the Unknown.Slide04

This card reminds me that Spring is on it’s way to those of us in the Northern Hemisphere! Yay! I had a blast making this card. I’d also like to play this along at Anything But Cute’s Challenge #11 – Crazy For Colour (I posted this on 1 March, if that disqualifies my card please remove it.) STAMPlorations Never-ending Anything Goes Challenge.

How I made this card:

  1. Created a water color smooshed background using a inked up ARTplorations Stencil Bubbles as a stamp. preview-web-stencil-008-bubbles.jpegSlide01
  2. Stenciled the different birds using Some Birds ARTplorations Stencil. preview-web-stencil-037-somebirds
  3. Stamped the branches with embossing ink & heat embossed with white.

Slide06

4. Traced the large bird white gel pen.

  5. Randomly stamped leaves.

Slide03

6. Finished with sentiment, black matting and large card base. This card measures 5″x7″.

I hope you are inspired to play along!  Please stop by the challenge blog and checkout my teammate’s wonderful creations. We always have quite a variety of cards for you to enjoy. I had a lot of messy fun making this card.  I hope that you are inspired to play along!

Happy Little Stampers March CASE the Designer Challenge

Hi! I’m happy to be here with you today for  HLS’ CASE the Designer Challenge.

Here’s our CASE the Designer for March, Kim’s, card:
I love the color blocking of Kim’s card. What a sweet scene!
Here’s my CASE:

This is a brand new type of design for me – all of the different little panels. Also, some of the stamps, the tulips, the clock, the leaves are all NBUS! 🙂 I used most of the colors from Kim’s card, yellow, blue, red, green, white and black on my card.
IMG_4770 copy I chose to use a variety of square and rectangle die cuts and then adhered them with foam tape. This card was a challenge for me, but I really like how it turned out! I would like to play along at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday’s Anything Goes, SSS Monday Challenge blog’s” Take a Leap into the Unknown because of the new type of design and layout. I’d also like to play along at Darnell’s NBUS#6: Anything Goes ChallengeColourQ’s #330:
