Happy Little Stampers January 2016 Mixed Media Challenge

Hi! I’m very excited to be here with you today. I have a fun new opportunity to share with you, Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge!

Supplies for this card:

Stencil (NEW!)

Red & yellow ink (blending tool)

VersaMark

Clear embossing powder (heat tool)

Red card stock (trim & hello (x3) word die cut)

White card stock (& embossing folder)

Foam tape

Tombow liquid glue

Glossy Accents

To make this card, first I sponged red and yellow through my stencil. Recently, I’ve been working on organizing my blog and have added some new pages at the top. I’d like to invite you to visit my Mixed Media and CAS/Nearly CAS galleries. 🙂

Then I removed the stencil and used my anti-static tool over the entire surface.

I replaced the stencil and sponged on VersaMark.

Then I removed the stencil and added clear embossing powder and heat embossed. This is a new technique for me and I like it. Have you used this technique before? I’d like to play this at Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #217: Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamps’ Wednesday Challenge Blogs’ Simon Says: Something New.

I cropped the stenciled panel, added some red card stock and attached the panels to the embossed card base.

 I die cut 3 ‘hellos’, stacked them and added Glossy Accents to the top ‘hello’.

Process:

1. Stamped leaves in white/Craft ink on gray cs

2. Stamped more leaves and flowers in embossing ink

3. Embossed with white embossing powder

4. Painted flowers with white Craft ink

5. Painted flowers again with yellow, pink and fuchsia.

6. Added fussy cut sentiment
