AAA Cards #57 Love Me Like You Do

Hi! I’m here with a post for#57 Jan. 31 – Love me Like You Do.

Remember that the overall winner of our challenges will now win a prize. 🙂

This week our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers who will be providing a $20 gift certificate to their store.

I made two cards with Happy Little Stampers products.

Here is the first one, using a butterfly and sentiment stamp from Butterfly Birthday.

Butterfly Mixed Media Tag

Hi! I’m here with a tag inspired by STAMPlorations Mixed Media Challenge.

IMG_2442edited

I used an ARTplorations stencil and the coordinating stamps, Shower of Flutters and Trendy Butterflies respectively, to surround my hand drawn Cosmo Daisy with butterflies.

Slide13

Traced a mask and masked off flower.I masked the flower off and sponged and stamped around it.

Then I painted the flower with white and green acrylic paint, traced it with black marker and added yellow Gelato(s?) to the stamens. I also added some Washi tape and a black line to the edge of the tag.

I punched a flower hole and added some ribbon and the sentiment. I’d like to play this tag at STAMPlorations January 2016 Mixed Media Challenge, STAMPlorations Never-ending Anything Goes Challenge, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog: Best Friends, SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog’s: Create with Critters and Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #218: Anything Goes.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit. Thanks for stopping by!

Clearly Butterflies

Hi! I have two cards to share with you today. One is a mixed media card; the other is CAS. For both, I used my brand new butterfly dies from Happy Little Stampers. If you’ve visited Honeybee’s Butterfly Conservatory, you’ll already know how excited I am about these dies. 🙂

This first card was inspired by CASology’s Cue Card:

Slide10

I stamped (with Butterfly Birthday) and then heat embossed with white on acetate. I’m going to add this to my new CAS gallery and Honeybee Loves Butterflies pages. If you have time, I’d be very happy if you’d go over and take a peek.

Slide07

I have had the butterfly stamp set for a few months now and I am very much enjoying using it.

I love these dies!

For the inside panel, I watercolor painted with these

Slide03This card makes me smile!

My second, mixed media card, is also very cheerful. These lovelies and are going to flutter over to the Conservatory and the Mixed Media Gallery.

I used the same water color paints (for the rainbow) on water color paper, white embossing powder, Faber-Castell Gelatos (for the butterflies) and did some ink blending for the ‘sky’.

Slide04

How I made this card:

  1. I used the butterfly dies on the previously water colored rainbow panel.
  2. Next I used the panel as a template to stamp the butterflies in embossing ink.
  3. After heat embossing the butterflies on the card front and then masking them off, I sponged on the blue bg.
  4. Then I water colored the insides of the butterflies.
  5. I also fussy cut the rainbow panel and attached it by popping it up with foam tape.
  6. Added the sentiment. (HLS Whimsical Friends)

I’d like to play this card at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog: Best Friends,

SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog’s: Create with Critters and Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #218: Anything Goes.Slide11I hope that you enjoyed your visit. Thanks for stopping by!
