Rainbow of Feathers

Hi! I am here with a card inspired by this week’s CASology: Week #162: WRITE and CAS(E) This Sketch #138.

IMG_1094editedThe feathers are from SU’s Fine Feathers stamp set and the sentiment is from PTI Sentiment Splits stamp set.

I masked off a rectangular space. This was going to be a 1-layer card, but I got a smudge on it. :/

So, I ended up cropping the rectangle down and then I combined it with yet another card base that I had messed up!

IMG_1071editedAfter stamping the feathers, I masked off them off and did some ink-blending, adding the rainbow of ink to the white strip that had been left behind. Sorry, but I was so intent on the sponging that I forgot to photograph that process. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in black, cropped the rectangle down and then adhered it over the card front with foam tape.

IMG_1091editedI would like to play this at Muse’s Challenge #131. Here’s Carol’s, this week’s Muse’s, lovely feather card.

I would also like to play over at SSS Wednesday’s: Simon Says Make It Colorful, Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #199: Anything GoesΒ  and Virginia’s View Challenge #18 Geometric Patterns.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. What a stunning card. Love your blended sentiment panel, and how you’ve got feathers peeking out behind your top stamped panel. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
