Butterfly & Triangles in a Circle

Today I have a bright card to share with you. The design for this card was inspired by this week’s Muse, Tracey McNeely’s card. I focused on Tracey’s theme of a creature and its placement, her technique of sponging and the location in the lower right-hand corner, her colors of orange, yellow, green and blue and a black sentiment.

Here’s my card:

I was also inspired Chrissy Larson’s sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #134.

HLS August 2015 Sketch Challenge

Happy Little StampersHi! I’m back again with a card for this month’s super fun HLS sketch!

Here is the August Sketch:

Oh, the possibilities!

Here’s my card:

First I made a sheet of water-colored bg paper using my stamp press and a variety of SU! red and pink inks. Then, I used PTI’s Heart Cover Plate die to cut out the hearts. IMG_6242editedI spritzed and splattered the card base with Smooch Spritz and some pink ink. I traced a large circle die to make the string.IMG_6304editedI adhered the hearts with Tombow Liquid adhesive and drew on the little bows. The sentiment is from Stamplorations’ Trendy Butterfly stamp set.

IMG_6305editedI hope that you are inspired to play along! You can also find all of the current HLS challenges here. Stop over to the blog for some inspiration from the rest of the design team, and to link up your entry.

P.S. I made another card inspired by this sketch, but it’s also for this month’s HLS CAS challenge. So you’ll have to wait until the 3rd to see it! Come back here in 2 days to see my card and don’t forget to play along with the CAS and Christmas Challenges for August.  August!?

Triangles & Flowers

Today I have a bright and fun card to share with you. It was inspired by JUG’s Photo Challenge #303.

Here’s my card:

I masked off a circle, stamped a Hero Arts Tiny Flags bg stamp with VersaMark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged on TH Squeezed Lemonade, Hero Arts Blue, SU Pumpkin Pie and Cucumber Crush ink. Next, I ironed off the embossing powder.

Then I stamped the flowers with a stamp from PTI’s Flower Favorites and added the die cut sentiment. I’m also going to play this over at SSS’s Wedneesday Challenge:Anything Goes and  WAW’s Challenge #193.

Thanks for stopping by!
