Today I have a pair of sister CAS cards to share with you.
To start this first card I used a paint brush to apply VersaMark ink to my SU Poppy Background stamp. Then I added Melon Mambo and Pool Party ink with my SU markers on top of the Versamark.
I stamped the image and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. ( I’m going to play this over at JUG’s #292: Embossing.) Then I colored in the flowers and stems with the same markers.
After that, I used a scalloped circle to
die cut the flowers and a Avery Elle “hello” die to cut out the sentiment. I’m going to play this at Casology’s Cue Word: Shape and Seize the Birthday’s: Use the Negative.
And here’s the sister:
For this card I used nearly the same technique as with the first except that I did not use VersaMark or heat embossing. Also, I added the “hello” die from the first card with several white hellos below it to add some dimension. I made a scalloped window and rounded the corners on this card too. The design for this card was inspired by HLS’s May CAS: Die Cuts/Punches Challenge and SSS Wednesday’s: Simon Says Let’s Get Sentimental.
Thanks for stopping by!
