On this card I used one of my own photographs, printed on card stock.

The sentiment is from PTI’s Swoosh Sentiment Stamp set.

  The design for this card was inspired by this week’s CTS #121. I’m also going to play at JUGS #291:Twine.

I made the background paper for this card by doing some some ink blending. I very much enjoy this technique!

Embossing Paste Butterflies & Ink Blending

 Is there such a thing as a CAS Mixed Media card? I don’t know, but maybe this one is approaching that category?

I had fun making the ink-blended ombre backgrounds for this card. Then I used a homemade stencil and some homemade embossing paste to add the butterflies to the “sky”. The sentiment is from PTI’s Blue Skies Stamp set.

Rainbow- Chevrons, Heart & Butterfly

This card was inspired by this week’s Make It Monday #210: Using Vellum To Soften Patterns.

I am also playing this over at MMCC’s The Mixed Media Card Challenge #11 {Wings}.  I’m also going to play at JUGS #291. I’m also going to play over at Virgnia’s View #14 Layers and Dimensions.

I used my new PTI chevron stamp from the Noted stamp set to make the rainbow background, after masking off the center with a heart. I removed the mask, covered the chevron bg with a homemade heart stencil and then sponged a rainbow heart and stamped the PTI butterfly image. I added a piece of vellum, covering the chevrons. I added the twine by carefully putting a thin line of TomBow Mono Liquid adhesive around the edge of the heart and then affixing the twine on top it. The sentiment is also from PTI; Keep It Simple: Mother Mini Stamp Set.
