Blue Skies

Hi! If you came here looking for my CASology Guest Designer card please look here . ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, I have a CAS Blue & White card to share with you. IMG_4112gdedited

This card is fairly CAS I think. First I stamped the airplane in silver, then I masked it off and stamped the clouds and the sentiment. I used 2 strips of sponged/ink blended paper from my CASology GD panicked stamper/frantic stamping day. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m going to play this over at at SSS’s Monday Challenge: Anything Goes. I’m also going to play over at ATSAM: Make Your Markย  and Uniko Studio’s: Things with Wings.

Nothing but Blue Skies

Hi! If you came here looking for my CASology Guest Designer card please look here or scroll down to the previous post. ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, I have a CAS Blue & White card to share with you.

This card is truly Clean & SIMPLE! First I sponged/ink blended some blues. Next, I punched a circle out of the ombre paper. Then I punched a butterfly out of the center of the circle and added a stack of 5 white butterflies back into the center of the blue circle. I’m going to play this over at CAS on Sunday’s Challenge #57, White (w/ 1 more color). I’m also going to play this at SSS’s Monday Challenge: Anything Goes. I’m also going to play over at Uniko Studio’s: Anything with Wings.

Casology Week #144 Guest Designer!

Guest Designer Badge 2015

Excited?! Yes. Nervous? Most definitely! Mostly though, honored.

I reveled in having my card chosen, by Kymona, as the winner for Week 142: Sweet. Well, I reveled for a few hours and then it occurred to me that past winners had turned into Guest Designers! Gulp! When I was invited by Melissa from CASology to be a guest designer for this week’s challenge I thought, “Yes! Wait, Oh No!!” ๐Ÿ™‚

But here I am with my card for this week’s cue word…..

Week 144 - Flight

IMG_4163editedFrom the photos below you can see that I did some ink blending/sponging, stamped the butterfly images and then punched them out. The sentiment is from PTI’s Swoosh Sentiment stamp set. The inks, stamp and punch are all Stampin’ Up. I used Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White stock for the card base.

I have a confession to make. I made 11 different cards for this challenge! I asked my family to help me choose which one to share.

IMG_4167editedCurious about the rest of the cards that I made for this cue word? Here’s a slideshow of the other 10. ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you think? Is there another one that you would have chosen to feature?

I will look forward to reading your comments sometime soon. I’m not sure when that will be though because I will be having a test performed on my heart today. These past few months have been a test of faith for me, but God continues to pour out His grace on me and I know He’ll be with me no matter the result. If you have a mind to, please pray for me today and share any encouraging Scripture too. I would greatly appreciate that. I pray that I will have reason to “Celebrate” as my card says, but either way I know that God is the God of the rainbow. He’s The Ultimate Promise Keeper and He won’t abandon me. No matter what!

ย I’m beyond thrilled to be this week’s Guest Designer at CASology!! I hope you will be sure to play along with the challenge this week.ย  I can’t wait to see what your take is on the “Flight” cue word.ย  Please make sure to stop by the challenge blog and check out the superb creations from the design team too.ย  Thanks so much to Melissa and the DT for allowing me to play along with you this week.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I discovered this young man’s sign language music video the other day. I thought you might like to watch it. He signs to Mercy Me’s song “Greater”.

The layout for my card was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch #120.

I used PTI’s Brushed Blooms, Polka Dots Basics II and Background Basics: Super Stripes Stamp Set to make the blue stripes.

Ooo, Ooo Ombre – Hearts

This week’s CASology cue word is: Ombre. I love this cue word!

Here’s my 5th Ombre card.IMG_3770editedI really like how this one turned out!

I made a stencil with my PTI Heart Cover Plate die to make a stencil and then sponged the ombre red/pink inks through it. I used my new PTI “XOXO” stamp from the Sentiment Splits Stamp Set. I love this stamp!

IMG_3769edited

In total, I made 7 Ombre cards! I thought my head was going to explode with all of the ideas that kept rushing around inside it. Five of the cards are CAS-ish enough, I think, to play at CASology. ๐Ÿ™‚ So get ready ladies! ๐Ÿ˜‰
