Hello Birdie

I have another Spring-y card to share with you today.

IMG_1904 IMG_1906

This card was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch.

First, I made my own background paper by stamping the bird and doing some masking and sponging some different distress inks. Then I die cut the sentiment twice and added some Glossy Accents to the double-layered sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Butterflies – DLC!

I have another Spring-y card to share with you today.

and by Leigh’s beautiful creation in particular.

First, I made my own background paper. I did some water-coloring and also tried my hand at the bokeh technique for the first time. Then I die cut the sentiment and then pieced it into the background and punched and attached some vellum butterflies.

Next, I attached some white card stock and the water color paper together with some sticky label, rounded the corners and die cut a circle.

Then I  didIMG_1958 some dry embossing and used a butterfly punch on the circle. Also, I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum with white and silver embossing powder. I’m going to play this over at Virginia’s View: “All Things Embossed” Challenge.

This is little 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″card was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch. I did some distress ink blending and masking for this and I like the Spring-y feeling that it invokes. I’m going to play this over at ATCAS’s: Distress Challenge #58.
